How To Target Weight Loss With Phentermine

target weight loss

While taking phentermine, your main objective may be to get as close to your goal weight as possible, but often when we get close or have less weight to lose to start with, our focus switches to wanting to target and improve specific body parts.

Here we explain how to target weight loss with phentermine to achieve the weight – and body – that you really want.

Can You Target Weight Loss With Phentermine?

It’s one of the main questions for anyone trying to lose weight, and, depending on the answer, it’s often the biggest weight loss myth.

So, is it really possible to target specific body parts for weight loss with phentermine? The short answer is that no, it’s not possible. But, there is a more hopeful, long answer.

Yes, it’s true that where you lose, and put on weight, depends on your genetics and gender; some people tend to store fat in their hips and buttocks and are often referred to as ‘pear-shaped,’ while others store it in their abdomen and love handles, with what is known as an ‘apple shaped body.’

Women tend to have a harder time losing fat from their hips because that’s where they store more fat. However, there are two ways to overcome these issues with the help of phentermine.

Both strategies are crucial for overall fitness, and both will help you to lose more weight, get toned, and burn more fat – and from the places you want the fat to go most, therefore helping you to target weight loss with phentermine.

Solution 1: Burn More Fat All Over

You can’t choose where your body stores fat, and sadly, you can’t choose where it drops the fat first, but to target a certain body part for weight loss, you need to burn fatter all around your body.

The best way to achieve this is to ensure that you begin exercising in some form at the start of your weight loss journey with phentermine, as it helps you to establish an exercise routine by giving you the energy and motivation you need to get started.

While it’s true that healthy eating directly contributes to weight loss more than exercise, exercise lays the foundations of the body and weight you want in the long term by helping you to build a leaner, more efficient body for the future.

To burn more fat, the best approach when it comes to fitness is a combination of weight-bearing exercises such as Pilates, yoga, or weight-lifting, and cardiovascular exercises such as running, cycling, or aerobics.

The two-pronged approach of cardio and weight-bearing will give your metabolism the biggest boost and help you burn fat all over your body, including the body part of greatest concern.

Depending on where you want to lose weight from, there may also be certain sports that will help you to target specific body parts too; for example, if you want to work your arms, then boxing or swimming would be better than running, while exercises like rollerblading, aerobics and hiking would help your target weight on your butt.

So, follow these phentermine exercise rules, starting small and building up to find an exercise you love, meaning that working out is a pleasure rather than a chore and, therefore, easier to keep up to achieve long-term weight loss.

You can also help to burn more fat by eating better. Not only do you need to cut out the bad foods from your diets, such as saturated fats, processed foods, fried foods, and sugar, but you also need to incorporate more metabolism-boosting foods into your diet.

This will also help you burn more fat and lose more weight, including the possibility to target weight loss from specific body parts.

Foods high in protein and fiber are great options as they keep you feeling full and help you to maintain even blood sugar levels.

The soluble fiber found in foods such as oats, apples, and cherries, lowers insulin levels and can also speed up the fat burn, especially around the belly – often an area where many people want to target weight loss – but you must eat the skin, as that’s where all the fiber is.

Many herbs and spices help to boost metabolism, and you should include lots of heart-healthy monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) in your diets, such as olive oil, nuts, avocado, and oily fish, as MUFAs have been found to decrease inflammation and increase your body’s ability to burn fat.

It’s also important to get all the nutrients you need for your body to work at its optimum and ensure that it’s not struggling to burn calories and fat.

For this reason, we recommend the multivitamins Phen Vites, the only multivitamin designed especially for those losing weight.

Phen Vites provide you with all the nutrients that are essential for good health and also contain specific nutrients such as B12 and 5-HTP, which both help to boost your weight loss potential with phentermine.

Solution 2: Focus Your Toning Efforts

Focus Your Toning Efforts

The second solution to target weight loss with phentermine is to tone this specific body part.

At the same time, you can’t burn fat from a specific part of your body; you can directly tone that part to look leaner and tighter through specific exercises highly focused on that area.

Essentially, by building muscle in a specific part of your body – which can be targeted based on the weight training exercises you choose – you can create the illusion of a leaner body.

This can be done by focusing toning efforts on the area, such as working your core with Pilates exercises or planking, but also to build muscle in your upper body and legs to make your waistline appear narrower as you create a leaner body overall.

However, you need to combine toning with cardio to reduce body fat so that the muscles you build can be seen. These toning exercises are great to target weight loss on your arms, legs, and abs, and remember to follow us on facebook for weekly exercise routines specifically focused on certain body parts, from ‘love handles’ to ‘chicken wings.’

However, this strategy only goes so far; while it can make a big difference, you still need to increase your overall activity level to lose weight from any body part.

Whether your goal is to lose weight all over or target weight loss in a specific area, the most important thing is to get moving!

Exercise also reduces stress and helps you sleep better, which both then improve your chances for weight loss and good health and means that the food you eat will be digested better, therefore reducing bloating and making your body work more efficiently so that your efforts to eat better will show on your body as well as on the scale.

    1. Hi Shenetra! You should always check with your prescribing physician and pharmacist before combining any additional medications, supplements or vitamins with phentermine. They are best qualified to assess whether this combination is advisable.

  4. I was doing great on phentermine-but my doc would only give it to me for 3 months and no longer. I lost 35 pounds in 3 months and now I’ve put 7 of it back on in two months. I am angry! I’m going to a phentermine clinic but clearly it is not the same quality as it has less blue specs in the pill and doesn’t do a thing for me. How can I find a doc in southwestern Illinois or St. Louis that will prescribe the real thing on a regular basis. What I got from my doc was just a teaser!

    1. Hey Ruth,
A lot of people have this problem that the 3 month allowance of phentermine isn’t enough for them to get where they want to be. The phentermine you’re getting from the clinic is still ‘the real thing’ if it’s on prescription (the blue dots don’t signify anything, they are just an aesthetic addition for people to recognize the tablet as phentermine) but it may be a different manufacturer if it’s affecting you differently. If you’re not already a member, we would suggest that you join the Facebook support group and post this question to see if there is anyone in your area who can direct you to a prescribing doctor.
      Hope that helps!

  5. All my weight goes to my stomach, middles area. I would like to target specifically on my stomach. What are the best exercises for this?

    1. Hey Debbie,
We’re currently working on an article that covers this area specifically as we know it’s a problem for many of us. But, in the meantime, firstly, as the article says, you need to do cardio and burn fat all over, so anything you enjoy is great – running, swimming, aerobics, cycling…and then to focus on the abs, we suggest Pilates, and for specific exercises, squats and deadlifts work the core and are easier and more effective than crunches (but remember to engage your stomach while you do them). For a way to burn fat and target the core, boxing is great as you engage your core by twisting and turning with your punches, and it also works the arms too. You should also take steps to relieve stress and sleep better as not doing so builds up cortisol which clings on to belly fat. This article explains how to de-stress: https://www.phentermine.com/phentermine-stopped-working/sleep-phentermine-weight-loss/ and this article offers tips on sleeping better: https://www.phentermine.com/phentermine-stopped-working/sleep-phentermine-weight-loss/
      Hope all that helps!

    1. Hi Nikki, arms are a problem for many of us, me included! If it’s the backs of your arms or ‘chicken wings’ then exercises which focus on your triceps will help to tone these. Also, classes like body combat or boxing help, as does swimming – the butterfly is the best stroke to work your arms but the front crawl also works the triceps.
