I wanted to lose weight for myself. I wanted to look good in my clothes but most importantly, I needed to lose weight for health reasons. I have asthma and being overweight made it so hard for me. I was always out of breath and feeling very uncomfortable. In 2018 I had a health scare. My unhealthy habits caused me to become pre-diabetic. At that moment I knew that something had to be done. I started to eat healthy but I just couldn’t seem to stick to it. I was the biggest I had ever been in 2020. My asthma had gotten worse and I was literally on the borderline of having diabetes. I was so emotional and I knew that if I wanted to live and feel good about the person I see in the mirror, something had to be done. So, on April 1st 2020, I spoke with my doctor and she decided to put me on phentermine. I started my journey April 8th. I did my first weigh in at 220 lbs. The biggest challenge in my weight loss journey was sticking to it and being consistent. But here I am still going strong mentally, physically and emotionally. Overall I feel better inside and out!
