"I lost 72 pounds while on phentermine. I have never been an eat-a-lot person. I did not make significant lifestyle changes. I have always exercised and eaten healthy. My doctor started me on this to test my basal resting metabolism and we feel that was the cause of the weight gain. I have only changed that I eat more and exercise less rigorously."


A new lifestyle
What is the deciding factor that made you decide to change your lifestyle?
My before picture. It made me ask my Dr about gastric bypass. And led into me trying phentermine.
What was the most difficult adjustment to your new lifestyle?
Scheduling food intake to ensure I ate enough.
What is the most rewarding part of your new lifestyle?
The rewarding part is not to take 20 pills a day for arthritis and fibromyalgia and being sick all the time and pain throughout whole body. I also have now developed a stronger self confidence and feel attractive at times. It has been very psychologically empowering. I have went down from size 22 jeans to 13! I have not worn that size jeans since high school over 20 years ago.
Do you have any words of advice for the community?
Advice would come from the fact that I had lost over 30 pounds and I could not see a bit of it because of looking in the mirror daily it just didn't seem believable. So I went and purchased 3 different scales thinking one of them or all of them had been broken. Weekly measurements of the body are what's most important not necessarily the weight number on the scale. I have weekly measured since day one and total body inches lost exceeds 40.
