"I've never been an overweight person, but I've been dieting since i was 8 years old. My mom had this nickname for me which was; La gorda. This means the fat one. So all my life i thought i was fat. I trained, i dieted, but always looked the same. One day my girlfriend and i were planning a trip to California and i decided to meet someone online to give us tours of Cali. Turns out the man i met is a bodybuilder & trainer. We met fell in love and got married a year later. Within 6 months of dating him; He took me from a size 14 to a size 6. Only training no dieting. That was then this is now. I know now our bodies change every 10 years. What worked for you then does not work for you now. Deep down inside i know the love i have for training is in bedded in my subconscious. Now i"m 48 years old and i have a 6 year old son that i must live for. It's all about my health now. I wake up with aches and pains that weren't there before. I know now i am truly over weight at 193. I haven't exercised in over a year, i see cellulite, my face didn't look like me. I refuse to take pictures. I decided to give phentermine a chance. I've read stories and have actually met people who have been on phentermine and have lost. The location where i had initially started the phentermine was a weight loss clinic. They treat every single person the same. No matter what age, race, or gender. As a former competitor, trainer and still a nutritionist; what this clinic was doing did not help me at all. I now have eliminated carbs & sugar till i reach my goal weight. A balance of protein, veggie & good fat. The picture i posted as Goal Weight is not what i want to look like. I can not be the past, but I can be a better future. I'll keep posting monthly pics of my progress."

A new lifestyle
What is the deciding factor that made you decide to change your lifestyle?
The deciding factor as to why i decided to change my lifestyle is mainly due to my youngest son. Tee is 6 years old. I am not getting any younger and i was starting to feel the aches and pains in the morning. I noticed i was a bit depressed. I don't know ugly. I've always taken care of myself physically and mentally. I needed to loose the weight and regain myself back.
What was the most difficult adjustment to your new lifestyle?
It's always a mission to start. Everyone starts with: " i don't have time." My most difficult adjustment was exercising. The first two weeks are always grueling. And that's just cardio.
What is the most rewarding part of your new lifestyle?
The most rewarding part of my new lifestyle is the way i feel about myself. When i feel sexy i am extremely happy. I can do anything. I've got the stamina to play with my boy for hours and that's whats most rewarding to me.
Do you have any words of advice for the community?
Don't give up. If you slip it's okay, no one is perfect and this is a lifestyle not a diet for a show or for a wedding it's a lifestyle. Pick up where you left off and continue. You are the only one in control of what you put in your mouth.
