Lorin's story is one of inspiration and encouragement to those who are trying to lose weight. In nine months not only has she lost over 50 pounds but she has also gained her self confidence and happiness back.

"I have struggled with my weight most of my life. My two pregnancies changed my body so much that my struggles got far worse and I was overwhelmed and felt totally out of control. When I got up to 216 pounds and a size 18, I couldn't believe it. I didn't recognize myself. I had no self esteem. My usual outgoing and fun personality disappeared and I became more of a home body and was actually cranky most of the time. My weight affected my life in so many negative ways.

Finally, after learning about Phentermine and the positive results, I started it in early January of this year. I started a spreadsheet to monitor my progress. From that point onwards I either maintained or lost something nearly every week. Each week my motivation and courage rose and I got more active and started taking control of my life. I started to shop again, go out with friends, get my hair done ... I started feeling like ME more and more as the months passed and I started to slim down.

Now, all I hear as I run into people is that I look wonderful. Many have said it's not just my body, but that my new confidence contributes to my beauty. My head is held high for the first time in a very long time.

I enjoy shopping again. So much. TOO much.

To lose the weight I have simply learned to eat all the things I love - only now I eat them in moderation. I do not deny myself anything. I'm too afraid I would end up binging if I did that. I have also become more active and have kicked it up a notch by working out 2-3 days a week. Nothing too intense. Usually just a 20 - 30 minute workout (weights or cardio, not both).

I have only six pounds to go but I've stopped stressing about it and have learned to love myself now, as I am rather than what I will be when I'm all done. When I reach the goal, I will be very proud. Heck, I am so proud already!

I have gone from a size 18 to a size 10 and I couldn't be happier. I wear the types of clothes I never thought I could.

Despite the clothes, the compliments, the attention - the most wonderful thing for me is that now I have confidence. I like who I see when I look in the mirror. My life is better in every way.

I'm me again..."

A new lifestyle
What is the deciding factor that made you decide to change your lifestyle?
The image I had of myself. The way I felt when I looked in the mirror or saw myself through someone else's eyes.
What was the most difficult adjustment to your new lifestyle?
Nothing was difficult for me. It was the right time and I was in the right frame of mind to begin. It has been smooth and enjoyable throughout.
What is the most rewarding part of your new lifestyle?
My confidence! My new love for myself. SHOPPING!
Do you have any words of advice for the community?
My advice for anyone struggling with their weight is to learn to love yourself as you are NOW. Don't focus only on the person you wish to be. You deserve to love yourself regardless of how you look or how you think others think you look. Believe in yourself. Set your goals at a reachable level and never feel you cannot achieve them. You can. If I did it, believe me ANYONE can.
