Confronted with her weight after looking at a picture of herself in a swimsuit, Jennifer, once on her way to following a career in modeling, lost all self esteem and hope. Her doctor prescribed her Phentermine. Even on Phentermine it took a while for her to gain self confidence and motivation to lose weight - yet all it took was a little encouragement from friends and seeing positive results from Phentermine that motivated her to change her lifestyle habits in order to lead her on the way to successful weight loss.

"I used to be a model when I was in high school, over 10 years ago. I then went on to take modeling classes and was on my way to a career. Until I started gaining weight and could not stop. Next thing I knew I was a size 14 and it kept becoming harder and harder to lose.

I really was never into working out or physical activity except in high school when I ran track. I did start Pilates 3 times a week a year ago and still do it today. It did help with flexibility but, I still continued to gain weight due to my eating habits. I now do Pilates 3 times a week and work out at the gym 2 days a week sometimes, 3 days per week.

I went to my doctor in November 2004 in tears because I was a size 20 and weighing 204 pounds. She prescribed Phentermine 37.5 mg and the weight just started to fall off. However, during my weight loss process I became depressed and started smoking cigarettes again and just hated myself for not losing weight like I had planned when I first got married 1 year ago. I just smoked and stopped working out and just gave up. Until, after my 1st 2 weeks on Phentermine, my pants were getting loose and people were telling me I was losing weight. This encouraged me to change my attitude - I hit the gym, quit smoking and was on my way to being a thinner and healthier person.

I went from a size 20/204 pounds to now 170 pounds and I can zip and button a size 14!! I still need to go to the gym to tone, but, I am on my way to being 150 pounds of sexy woman!!!"

A new lifestyle
What is the deciding factor that made you decide to change your lifestyle?
Looking at myself in a swimsuit in July 2004 at a pool party. The picture was horrible and I just cried. I started smoking again thinking that would help me lose weight. So, I was out of shape, overweight and a smoker.
What was the most difficult adjustment to your new lifestyle?
Changing my eating habits and quitting smoking.
What is the most rewarding part of your new lifestyle?
Zipping a size 14 pair of Capri pants from Gap.
Do you have any words of advice for the community?
I have tried Trim Spa, Xenedrine, Metabolife, and anything you can buy at GNC. Nothing has worked as wonderfully and effectively as Phentermine. Do not give up!
