"Wow, where do I even begin to tell you all about my weight loss journey? As a child growing up and even through my teen years, I have always been the kid that was picked on, or made fun of due to obesity. My weight all through high school went up and down.

In the summer that I graduated from junior high and was then moving onto high school as a freshman, my weight went from 200lbs to 120lbs within a 5 month period. I was diagnosed with having Anorexia. When an anorexic recovers, it is said that they gain double the amount they lost, as went for me. During my senior year of high school I was weighing in at 225lbs. I was not pleased with the way I looked in my senior pictures that I didn't even order them. I knew I had to do something about my weight problem, but this time, the right way. So I set up an appointment with my doctor, and then that's when he precribed me Phentermine. It has helped me become successful at what I've achieved."

A new lifestyle
What is the deciding factor that made you decide to change your lifestyle?
The deciding factor that made me decide to change my lifestyle is how I looked in pictures. I never really noticed my obesity, only until I saw pictures of myself standing adjacent to someone else who was fit.
What was the most difficult adjustment to your new lifestyle?
The most difficult adjustment to my new lifestyle is having to work and try to earn more money so I could buy new clothes to fit me!
What is the most rewarding part of your new lifestyle?
The most rewarding part of my new lifestyle is hearing a compliment from others on how much weight I have lost and how good I am looking. Their compliments were/are reminders on how hard and committed I was to lose that weight.
Do you have any words of advice for the community?
The advice I would give to all of the community is lose the weight for yourself, and not anyone else. You as a person, whether slender or full figured, you're beautiful no matter what anyone says. If you really want to lose a lot of weight, don't expect it will all happen over night. It takes time, patience, and a lot of dedication to lose a substantial amount of weight; it took me two years. Good luck to all of you!
