I was always a big guy but the last couple years my weight got out of control after I stopped working physical jobs and started driving long distance full time. I would snack the whole time out of boredom and always ate fast food away from home. This makes it easier to not think about food, and I try to make healthier choices when I'm on the road, which is not easy but I am eating about half what I used to. I dropped close to 25lbs this month and hoping to stay on this long enough to drop about 80lbs to get to around 220. Read less

I started the adipex p capsules on June 13th and went to my doctor yesterday for my weigh-in. I lost 12lbs already and my doctor is really pleased with me and gave me another month supply. This has given me the boost I needed as I would always give up after a couple days, but this takes away the hunger so it's so much easier to eat better - I eat salads every day now!! Only side effect is some trouble sleeping and headaches but not too bad. Going to start exercising next week to help lose more weight and get toned. Read less

I started on July 1st so I'm two weeks in now. This stuff is amazing, I have to remind myself to eat and I am energetic all day, cleaning and moving around like I can't sit still. So far I lost 8lbs, hoping to lose about 50lbs by the end of this round of 3 months. I get some insomnia, more waking up at 4am than not being able to sleep, so I take a nap when I get in from work and I'm good to go. And the dry mouth is ok because then I drink more water Read less

I love this medication. I am 48 years old, I have three children, and work full-time. I have always been thin, and been able to cut back slightly on calories and exercise more, and easily drop 5 pounds if I needed to. Getting older, I started to take Paxil because of my panic attacks. The Paxil worked great for my panic attacks, but after three years of taking it, I had put on about 10 to 15 pounds. I think it was because I was not nervous all the time, and over time that adds to less calories burned and less activity throughout the day. Also, just getting older, my metabolism slowed down. So, I cut back on the paxil from 20 mg to 10 mg, About four months ago I started taking phentermine. I have dropped 15 pounds. I am 5 foot nine and weigh approximately 150 pounds. I had gotten up to 168 pounds at one time, which is an all-time high for me. I love that I have energy to take care of all of the responsibilities I have during the day, but I am not nervous nor does it cause my panic attacks to come back. I do not want to stop taking this medication, because I feel it helps me focus and just gives me great energy. Also, I am able to cut back on eating and continue my workouts, and this addition of this pill has caused my weight to drop like it used to do when I would eat less and exercise more. I eat relatively healthy and I exercise five days a week, but for some reason my body was not losing weight would not budge until I started the phentermine. Read less

In May my doc put me on adipex and I didn’t eat at first because it just took away all my appetite. Then I found out that I had to eat even if it was just snacking throughout the day or else I wouldn’t lose. So I started snacking and then eating a small meal around 6pm and I began to notice that I had more energy. I went back to my doctor today after a month on the medicine and I’ve lost 15lbs, from 269 to 254, and I’ve gone down a pant size and shirt size. My doctor was really pleased with my progress so hopefully I will continue to drop much more Read less

This medication is really working. I was on the generic 15mg to start because of previous allergies to medications and felt some effects but wanted more energy and less hunger so I moved up to the 37.5mg adipex and this works so much better. I’ve lost 12lbs in the last 3 weeks, compared to 7lbs the first month. I want to lose 120lbs total. Only side effect is dry mouth and some “spaced-out” feelings when I first went on the higher dosage. Read less

I've been on adipex tablets for 4 weeks and lost 3.5lbs, less than a pound a week. I went to my doctor today to report my results and we decided to switch to capsules to see if it makes a difference. Hopefully these work better for me but as they are the same dosage I’m not sure if there will be a difference. So far I’m disappointed, I hoped for much better results. Read less
