Phentermine Reviews

Phentermine remains the #1 prescription weight loss medication in the US. It is a central nervous system stimulant that suppresses appetite, boosts energy and helps you achieve your weight loss goals. This medication is intended as a short-term (3 month) treatment and is only available with a doctor's prescription. Below are reviews of both generic and brand-name phentermine, written by real phentermine users.

It took away my hunger and cravings during the first couple days, but it took awhile to get used to it. The first day I was groggy and dizzy, but got used to it. These are the side effects I got: hair loss, dry mouth, dry sore eyes, constipation, jitters, insomnia easily irritated, mood swings. But - lost 40 lbs, big energy boost, and it actually took away the headaches I used to get. After 3 months it’s not working with cravings and hunger anymore, but still tons of energy and no headaches. My doctor kept me on it but now high BP, so I decided to cut down. Now low energy and getting headaches again. Weight loss has plateaued these last weeks. Read less

I’m 5'3 and was 202lbs when I started the adipex in Jan 2016. I’m now skipping days to stop them in the next couple weeks. Total weight loss is 38lbs in 3 months!! The first month I lost the most. Ate 1200 calories daily, so much water, worked out 4-5 x a week. I get headaches due to lack of water, sometimes I was dizzy bc I stood up too fast. Many sleepless nights from the energy - my body felt so tired but couldn’t sleep sometimes more than 3 hours. My body image isn't what I thought it would be, but my journey isn’t over, and I feel more confident. adipex is a tool I used to help change my life style, very thankful for it! Read less

I stopped taking this around the end of March and I kept off the weight so far. The product is good - I wanted the 37.5mg but my doctor explained that the slow release means that it lasts longer, and this was a big thing for me as I am a night snacker and used to pick a lot during the evening so this helped a ton! I lost nearly 45lbs in total, my weight loss was steady but I didn't cut down too low on the calories so maybe that's why. I followed a program designed by my doctor and started going to the gym too, I feel great and positive about myself for once. I was overweight as a teenager and this is the first thing that really helped me stick to my diet. No side effects except some dry mouth at the start. Read less

My doctor prescribed me a combination of topomax and phentermine, saying that the topomax would help the phen to work better. I just changed completely on this, every little thing upset me, I got worse over a couple days, even had time off work and then when I screamed at my daughter for nothing my husband said no more - I was a different person and I didn't even lose weight either, I didn't feel any energy or less hunger. I'm fine now but never again, it's not worth it. Read less

When Dr. said I wouldn't be able to get Phentermine Rx any longer due to meeting the BMI goal, he suggested I look online for an alternative to the prescription. I like knowing I have the added support of curbed hunger and increased energy. Phen Caps seem to have almost the same results as my phentermine prescription. I seem to still have a good amount of energy and I'm not hungry throughout the day with Phen Caps. There's no such thing as a miracle pill, so making better choices in food is still a necessity, along with an increase in physical activity. Read less

I took phen years ago after before I had my kids and saw great results - no hunger, side effects yes but manageable, lost around 25lbs and maintained it until I had my first, yo-yoed between kids and then decided to do something about it now my youngest is 5. I'm on it a month now and the effects don't feel the same, I still get hungry and don't feel the same energy boost as last time - I feel more tired in fact. The side effects are worse this time too - dizzy, get angry a lot, dry mouth and no sleep. I am losing slowly, down around 7lbs so far but I could lose that in a week before and this is after a month. I'm gonna stick with it and start walking to try and help me lose faster as I can only get it for 3 months. Read less

I got the dry mouth but drank a ton of water and you're supposed to do that anyways so that helped. I lost 7lbs in the first week but after that it slowed down and then a couple months in I couldn't notice the effects and felt hungry again. Overall I lost 20lbs but I have more to lose so I guess I will ask my doctor to go back after this break. Read less
