I started last year, at 196lbs. I lost 5lbs the first week but got bad dry mouth, dizziness, constipation from the start, and NO SLEEP! I got sick of lying awake every night so I started taking sleeping pills too – not something I wanted to start. I was doing aerobics class and felt like my heart was jumping out my chest. I got a boost of energy but this freaked me out. I also felt pains in my legs and joints, I think they say you should take calcium or iron supplements and vitamins. A month later I was at 182 but I stopped taking it regular until last month. I’m at 175lbs now, and starting to get chest pains, headaches so I stopped it altogether – not worth it. Read less

I have high BP so my doctor started me off on 15mg because she was worried about the effects it might have. The first month I didn’t notice any effects, good or bad, but I did lose 7lbs. I just started on the 37.5mg today and I have a ton of energy and can hardly sit still! I am looking forward to losing even more this month. Read less

I am at least 80lbs overweight and weight gain made me depressed and led to more eating. My doctor suggested phentermine and I worried that it could be dangerous for me but it is working well. Phentermine is controlling my appetite like nothing else has been able to do. I never noticed how preoccupied I was with food before - now I can have pizza at home and not think about it. I am 3 weeks in and down 11lbs, now I feel like I am on the right path. Read less

Generic phentermine (pills) - remember to eat or you won't lose

I took phen for 6 months, started at 210 and got to 165 – amazing! That was last summer, and I’ve gained most of it back. So, this is my advice – 1. Eat – you may not want to but you HAVE to eat, or your metabolism will slow down so much and you’ll stop losing weight. But, watch what you eat and eat the right things. 2. Take vitamins – I got hair loss, no concentration, always tired and nearly fainted a couple times. I didn’t know that my body was crying out for food, because I didn’t feel like eating. I was probably eating no more than 500 calories some days – you need 700 a day even doing nothing. 3. Be prepared to gain the weight back, make a plan for when you come off because it’s not forever – there is no safety net. I recommend it but it’s not a miracle pill and you have to be smart about it. I was reluctant as I heard things about this drug and wasn’t sure but I am happy to say it’s worked for me! After 4 weeks I’m down 15lbs, never lost so quick before so this is amazing. It’s taken my appetite completely so now I can eat portion sizes right for my size, which was what caused my weight gain. I have so much energy now, more than in months. Side effects: dry mouth, no appetite so I forget to eat, and very little sleep – I usually wake up after 4-5 hours sleep. Read less

I got my dream job but with long hours and travelling, my diet got worse and worse. I was eating out all the time, on the road and with clients. I felt unprofessional and frumpy, and didn’t project the image I wanted so I went to a weight loss clinic and got phentermine 37.5. I have to be smart, eating out is necessary for my job but now I make good choices and ask about cooking methods and change ingredients, sauces on the side etc. I joined a gym and have a routine to do every day when I’m away from home. Down 18lbs in 2 months, it’s going well so far. I get dry mouth and worry about bad breath as my mouth is so dry and with a bad taste. I had a lot of nausea at the start too, but I think that was from not eating enough as I had no appetite at all. Read less

Generic phentermine (capsules) - hard but worth it

I was always slim and could eat what I wanted but then a couple years ago I had a bad time with a nightmare job and problems with my boyfriend and I piled on the weight. I needed something to snap me out of this and when my doctor suggested phentermine because he could see where I was headed, I jumped at the chance to change things. I wanted to lose 30lbs and did that in just under 5 months on phentermine 30mg. I got bad insomnia and this was hard, I was an emotional wreck at times without sleep but I moved back in with my mom and she helped with healthy meals and making sure I ate lots of fruit and she even got me membership to a gym. I still go to Zumba 3 times a week and I have kept off the weight for 3 months so far. My advice is to get to what made you eat, try to fix that and take phentermine to give you the push you need. I feel like a different person to this time last year. Read less
