Read this interesting article I just ran across at work this morning. It kind of shocked me. In so many words it's telling me I will have to work my butt off the rest of my life to keep from being obese.

I was told that you don't start getting the benefits of cardio until you've done at least 20 minutes of it, so, yes, you want to do at least 30 minutes to an hour to reap the benefits of it.

    wow- you're really NOT playing

so.you're dong nearly two hours a day...that's almost like the people on celebrity fit club

I can certainly step it up to 40 minutes a day for the next four weeks. If only I can get my butt to sleep now...so I can get up at 5:30 and go powerwalking

My doctor recommended at least 40 minutes of cardio 5-6 days a week, plus I do strength training at least 3x a week. 20 minutes is probably good for cardiac health, but for the results you are looking for, I would try to at least do 40... I've been aiming for 60 minutes in the morning and a 45 minute tape at night... but I'm not playing with this weight anymore LOL Get a good B complex, chromium, a good multi vitamin, along with the standard "low carb" things like magnesium, postassium, vitamin D, etc. I wish you the best of luck, you can do it!!!!!

    Default back on the wagon

I fell off..big time - but I was able to maintain my weight for the last 10 months. This spring, I decided to try to knock off 20-25 lobs this summer.
I started low carbing it on July 20th, and I've been very good.

I have no phen left, but I'm going to see if I can reach the DR.who first prescribed it for me last summer.

Soooo... my goal is to be under 180 by my birthday party - which will be Aug 29th. Right now, I have exactly 16 lbs to lose, and 30 days to lose 'em.

I did lose 3-4 lbs in the last week... I need to kick 3 bs a week.. and I need some guidance ESPECIALLY since I may well have to do it without phen...

Is a 20 minute daily workout enough?
I'm staying under 1500 calories and trying to stay well under 40 grams of carbs. I am under 1000 today.
