    Good for u! It depends on just how fast your walking and for how long. When I walk my 3 miles in 60 minutes , I burn about 340 cal. I think the general rule of thumb is that you burn about 100 cal per mile

    Great job!! Its so nice that your proud of yourself. That always feels so good.

    I have an online place I use for my food journal and tracking my weight and my worksouts. I put in that you walked for 30 minutes at 2.5 mph and it said 80 calories. you can try it , its a free place to sign up and really cool. www.fitday.com (i use the free online version)

    Default FEELING GOOD! plus a Question?

    Hi Ladies,
    I just want to say you are all awesome!! So positive and up beat, yet tough enough to kick our butts to stay motivated!! OK that said, I'm feeling so good right now! I just went for a 30 min power walk from 8 to 8:30pm with iPod in hand listening to a little (sexyback) among other faster songs...and feel totally awesome, second walk in three days and I must say I don't know if its the endorphins or just the fact that I didn't really want to go but made my lazy butt get of the couch and stop watching TV. I was never one to excercise, but I know its going to be the only way to reclaim my former bod... Anyway, I was curious about how many calories do you burn doing 30 min of fast walking?
