W O M A N - you are doing so fantastic and more importantly being healthy about it ! Proud of you!
Hi, I'm Roc & I'm on the weight loss rollercoaster as well as a 42 yr. old - mother of 3 year old twins. An entirely different rollercoaster
WOW good for you! It is hard going out with friends and eating right!! Keep up the good work!!
Supastar0284 - Your doing so great!!! What did you eat at the fair? I just went to the fair today & all I had was a mediume Blue Raseberry Hawaiian Ice. I shouldn't have had that though now I probably gained weight because of it.
Thanks Yanie, you're so sweet. It's funny because I've always noticed your positive attitude shining through in the forums. Sometimes when I'm feeling negative I just force myself to think of all my blessings until I start feeling better. If that doesn't work, I just pretend to be positive, lol!
No, I didn't have any funnel cake which is surprising because it's my favorite fair food. It smelled really good, but when I thought about actually eating it I thought the grease might hurt my stomach. Don't worry though, I'll get my funnel cake before the summer is over, you can count on that!
Great job!! You're doing really good, and I know you will meet your goal with no problem.
Did you eat any funnel cake at the fair? I had some on vacation...love it!!
Thanks guys! I know you can all relate to how difficult it is to be somewhere like a fair that offers virtually NO healthy options. I was also with work friends and didn't want to draw attention to myself by not eating anything. Lol.
My next challenge is my vacation to California! My husband and I are leaving Monday to fly out to San Diego for about a week to visit my sister. Vacations are always a big test as far as dieting goes. At least I know there'll be lots of fresh seafood!
Congratulations! I know you are so proud of yourself. You're doing such a great job. Keep up the good work.
This is fantastic! Congratulations....you are doing such a great job---very motivating story
Way to go!!! It's a good feeling to know that you can make those decisions without the Phen. Good for you!

totally awesome!! it is admirable that you are losing weight and learning to be healthy before having children!! and if you are losing lbs after eating pork bbq and cotton candy you KNOW that you are really good at portion control and moderation!
Starting Weight: 260lbs
First Goal: 200lbs w/NO phen (met a year ago)
-regained and hit a plateau
started phen on 6/24 @ 217lbs
Current Weight as of 7/23 - 202lbs !!

I went for a checkup w/ my family doctor (who prescribed my phen) and I have lost 16 lbs since my last visit (which has been less than a month)!!!! This is like 22 lbs total!
He said he was very proud of me and that it sounds like I am getting really good at making healthy decisions instead of just trying to starve myself. He also said it was admirable that I decided to lose weight and be healthy before having children.
I have a consultation w/ a bariatric surgeon in November, but at this rate, I may not need the LapBand surgery. It's just shocking for me to see the scales consistently moving down. I even skipped taking the phen yesterday and went to the fair. I ate a few things that I really wanted, but in moderation. It's good to know that I'm learning how to lose weight while not feeling deprived. And the best part? I woke up this morning, after eating pork bbq and cotton candy, and am down another 1.5 lbs!
