    This is absolutely true and well documented. Carbs, especially processed sugars and starches will make you hungry faster. That's why so many of us are on a low/lower carb diet with the phen because the combo helps cut down cravings moreso than just carbs alone. The processed sugars will really kill you. Take a look particularly at the carbs vs. protein vs. fiber.

    That's exactly why I try not to give in to cravings. For me it just makes me want more and more. I am definitely a carboholic.

    Default Noticed sugar & hunger link?

    Okay, so I've been trying to make really good choices like low if any saturated fats, not too many good fats, only whole grains, no fake sugar except in yogurt some days because I can't find a healthier replacement, no high fructose corn syrup, no hydrogenated oils, good protein, no too many calories, and I try to not eat too much sugar. Well, the other day at the store I was really craving something sweet (still tom) and fruit just wasn't doing it. I decided that rather than get chocolate or one of the other billion sweet things I could, I would get Reese's Puffs cereal. It has sugar and colors and some additive, but I figured at least it had whole grain, protein and not too many calories. Well, even though it may have been a better choice than candy, I still was craving more after I ate it! I apologize if I've said something like this before but, it seems like if I eat something 'sugary' like this, I just get hungry very soon again and want more sugary things! It makes sense because of what I've been learning recently about our blood sugar levels. Has anyone else noticed this?

    I think I'd better really try to stick to my guns on trying to find no added sugar as much as possible because when I do that I don't have nearly as many cravings. When I do I think they're more in my emotions than in my 'body'.
