    Sounds like you're a BORED eater(like me). I can understand when you eat chicken then eat cereal afterwards, because you can't decide what to eat eventhough you may not even be hungry. You have to get a grip on eating so much though. Stock your fridge and pantry with healthy foods(no more junk) then when you binge, at least it's healthy stuff. I was craving chocolate yesterday(cause I was bored) but didn't have any in the house so I "pigged out" on watermelon all day. Understand???!!

    As for the Meth and Coke.....I've never done illegal drugs in my life, but alot of my friends have and a couple of them were even dealers. One of my best friends is married to a former user and she took Meth to lose weight. She didn't tell me until I confronted her, because she knows I can't stand drug use. I've never judged my friends nor am I judging you.

    You do need professional help to learn how to deal with your eating disorder. It's no different than any other disorder...I have a sleeping disorder that I've had to seek help for, unfortunately no prescription drug they've given me for it has worked.

    Start keeping track(everyday) of what you put in your mouth(including what you drink). Use a website to help you keep track(like calorie count). We're here to listen/give support/help if possible/even make you laugh once in awhile. If you really want this, then don't give up!!

    There, I did my "good" deed for the day...now I can go back to being "evil".

    Sivad, I dont think u need to take it personal when u dont get the amt of posts you would like. Depends on when ur posting and the frequency. People are constantly posting and its easy for your posts to get pushed down.
    I do still think therapy needs to be addressed. Just liking to eat the wrong foods are one thing but not being able to realize ur full and gorge on a daily is a whole nother story. Many people have to learn to eat healthy bc alot of us r raised eating a certain way and it may not b the healthiest but its what was cheap. So that carries into our adult life. We have to learn to eat healthy.
    But if someone is eating wrong + Gluttening, there is SOMETHING wrong. You dont just eat 10 pounds of food a day cuz u like something in your hand. U need to know Y you need to feel something in your hand. Something is underlying.

    suggestions:

    maybe you can substitute the food you eat with healthier foods. the nectarines are good but instead of eating them with a couple of burritos, try a nice meatless salad.

    or if you want a late night snack try keeping some grapes or cherry tomatoes on the side of your bed. that way you wont be tempted to get up and go to the fridge.

    do you play sports or workout? if not maybe you should join a gym or invest in a treadmill or something.

    sounds like you have hobbies, so when you feel like you're hungry do something else to occupy your time away from food.

    hope some of these ideas work for you. good luck

    Thanks again for the replies !!

    I have thought about Hypnotic Therapy & Subliminal etc...( in fact I run 2 subliminal weight loss suggestion programs on my computer screen daily) - I have also thought about Therapist help.

    But in my heart, I still believe that I don't eat like crazy out of "depression" or "emotions" or any other issues like that. I am always happy - I am always active, I am always on the go, I am a good father & husband, I go to the lake, I go swimming, I customize antique boats - ( right now I'm working on a 1961 Texas Maid cruiser with a 59' Johnson outboard - she's a beauty ) - I have 2 fat tire trail mini bikes that we ride all the time, I have a 200cc. GoKart that I blaze the Fairgrounds on the weekends, I'm also restoring a Lebaron Convertible to a custom cruiser, I play poker tournaments at the Indian Reservation Casinos, I do all sorts of things with no time to be emotional or depressed.
    As you can see - I am not eating out of some sort of depression, guilt or emotions - I don't have time for that & never think that way !!

    I eat like crazy & I eat alot - because I am hungry & I love food - Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night hungry - I fix myself a couple burritos, down a couple nectarines, have a glass or 2 of milk - then sleep like a baby - (thats the bottom line) - if I were to sit down with a cup of ice to munch on, then that might set off some sort of depression.....omg - I can't even imagine doing something like that !!


    I eat & I eat big & I eat everything, because I love it.....


    I am one of those guys who can put away the 5lb.Texas Steak in 1 hr. - I have done it before at the "3 Thieves" restaurant - It was one of the best meals I've ever eaten - I can eat 6-7 BBQ/Bratwurst, with tater salad & bbq/beans pickles, olives, 1/2 dozen deviled eggs, strawberry shortcake, including a 2 litre Pepsi - You name it / I can eat it !!....Cause I just love it & love the taste of all foods - (sure beats crushed ice) - but as I said earlier, food is not my only love !!


    Is something terribly wrong with me ??


    PS - I have 500 Fresh Prescription Phentermine pills ( 15mg. & 37.5mg.) - I want to lose 100 lbs. and if I do - I will keep it off forever.


    What should I do ??

    Hi Sivad! I'm sorry you don't feel like some of us have not offered you support. There are so many registered users & if you aren't a regular poster, I have a hard time keeping up with this board. I do try to offer advice, support, etc when I am here, which isn't daily.

    Dano, we have had some real wackiness go on lately in this community, so some of us are a bit leery about legit posters. With what you described, I can't believe that your doctor has not recommended you see a therapist. Until you have a more healthy relationship with food, I can't see you being successful while using phen. Why waste the $s & its not doing a thing for your appetite. I really do wish you well & don't give up trying to seek the help you need. Maybe you can also join Overeaters Anonymous.

    I really don't have much to say other than:
    Emotional issues are a big part of overeating and I personally feel that unless they are addressed everyone here will likely gain the weight back.
    I don't understand why a person with a past history of drug abuse would be prescribed an amphetimine-like substance unless the doctor is unaware of the past abuse.

    ok i thought this was a joke at first....but honey please whatever you do, don't turn to drugs anymore ok.

    but i gotta tell ya, when i read all that food you consume on a daily basis, i almost threw up in my mouth!! im sorry but regardless of how much you weigh, i don't understand how any human can eat that much on a daily basis. come on now, 8-10 lbs of food???

    DANO I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!!!!!!!!! I can start a thread here with the same subject and same words as another poster and I get 2 replies were as the other poster gets 20. I have almost stopped coming to this forum because I didn't feel it was helping me much. They all say help and support.....well I didn't get much, the same couple people are the ones that responded to my posts. I guess I'm just not interesting enough. Maybe I'm whinning, maybe I'm not but I didn't feel much support.

    I personally don't think you need theropy. You have an addiction to food as I do. I can sit and eat and eat and eat no matter how full I get it's just the fact of having something to eat in my hands. It's not emotional.....I haven't been hurt.....I'm happier now than I've ever been in my life and I think that's a comfort zone and I feel good in this zone so I eat. I eat because it tastes good. It's not hard to eat a whole chicken from walmart. The rotiserie ones. I could eat one of those and a small pack of rolls. Mind you I would be as full as a tick and not able to move much afterwards but still I could eat one. I have a friend from North Carolina staying here with me and my hubby right now. He can sit and eat a whole box of cereal at one sitting. Not a problem for him. You just have to find what works for YOU. If the Phen isn't working then stop taking it. You have to make a concience decision to help yourself. No one can do it for you. It takes that much food to fill you up because your stomach is so stretched out that you don't feel full. Start cutting down little by little every day to allow your stomach to get back to it's normal size and you can eat less and less. I've noticed that mine has gotten smaller. It doesn't take as much to fill me up as it once did. Eat until you feel your stomach starting to get full and STOP!!! Don't eat so much that your stomach is so stretched out that it hurts. Eat healthy foods like raw veggies and fruits. Drink lots of water before you eat that will help fill you up. Diet drinks helps also. Just by changing from 4 or 5 20 oz. soft drinks to diet green tea and diet pepsi I lost 10 lbs in a month. That don't seem like much but it is when all you do is change what you drink. As for the support.....I don't get much support from family and friends or this forum for that matter. YOU HAVE TO BE YOUR OWN ROCK!!!! I've learned that over the past month. Like I said before....NO ONE can do it for you. You must do it FOR YOURSELF. I didn't think your post was BULL because I've been where you are. Drug additcion!! It's not a good place to be and I wouldn't even say anything about it because it's not something I'm proud of or something I want to share with strangers, but I wanted you to know that there are people in the world that share the same struggles. You can do it you just have to change yourself for the better. A lifestyle change is what it's gona take for you, and for me also. I'm trying to do that for myself.     I don't think any type of drug is the answer for you. I think you should go to Weight Watchers or a therapist. HONESTLY....Not joking. It's not going to be a quick fix for you. You need to do it healthy and naturally, with diet and exercise.

    Just a suggestion - try hpnotherapy. It really does work if you can have an open mind about it. My mom tried it for weight loss and lost 100lbs over a 2 year period. She said she didn't have the cravings for junk food and it became easier to make healthy choices in daily life. I also tried it for many things and it will help you. You can have them help with the eating, exercising.....whatever you need. Then they will send you home with a tape of the session to listen to before bed. Give it a try!

    I would agree, I think u may want to get some help bc that is a lot of food your consuming and u cant
    possibly be hungry. There has to be something else bothering u to make u eat like that.

    ok, as I first was reading all the posts I thought the troll spray was hilarious and I'm not going to lie I thought this may have been a joke...cuz yeah it is sometimes hard to tell who is joking and who isn't...

    so I agree with libby....sounds like going to a therapist to talk through your problems with would help you much more tremendously then spending money on getting phen and doctor visits for phen....definately. since you say this is all true, you must really have something deep in the back of your head that is hurting you into eating so much...i don't want to go sounding like dr. phil or anything but I do the same thing (not nearly as much food and I am getting better at keeping it in check lately..) ...but really you should find someone to talk to...there are therapists that specialize in helping those with emotional eating/eating disorders.

    best of wishes to you...I really hope you find the help you need.

    ok 1. i said i wasnt crackin a joke because im always being silly and online its hard to tell when someone is being silly or not.
    2. since this isnt a joke we're here to support you like we do everyone else, but talking about what others weight wont change your weight, so lets not make comments about others weight in a kinda negitive way (i dunno if this made sense lol)
    3. it sounds like your an emotional eater and phen cant help you with that. you might want to see a psychatist(sp?) about it because it sounds like its more personal problem than physical thats causing you to eat so much.

    This is no joke !!

    I can down 4-6 bowls of cereal or ice cream any time of the day - between all the meals.

    I just laid it out there for all to see, I'm not proud of it, But it's the truth. I weigh 342 and 8-10 lbs. of food is a breeze for me on most days. But there are some days that I don't hardly eat anything & on those days I can sleep 20 hrs. plus,.

    As for the Meth & Coke, I have not touched any of that stuff in over 12 years and I'm just wondering if the Phentermine is just making me more hungry or not, by juicing me up a bit just to be hungrier.

    losingformywedding, Thanks a bunch for the response, I did not do Meth last week, It has been over 12 years since I touched the stuff. I see that you weigh 145, well I weigh 342 & it is real easy to eat & eat big !!
    I realize that a life/style change is in order, The doctor and I are just searching for some help - (a cup of ice to munch on is the last thing I would ever want to do) - especially when my favorite BBQ palace has the "ALL-U-Can-Eat" Ribs & Brisket 2 times a week - As you can see - I need help !!

    Socialite, You weigh 179 and I weigh 342 - So I am almost dbl your size - And yes, I can & do eat a complete bird with all the trimmings, then top it off with a couple bowls of cereal or ice cream. In fact, yesterday as I went to Walmart I polished off one of their whole fried chickens in the parking lot with 3 nectarines as I waited for my daughter to come out, then we went to Sonic an had lunch.

    Tarheelgirl, Yes it is alot of food & thats why I am wondering whats wrong with me - I did not choose to lose the weight while I did the Meth & Coke and I wasn't ever "hooked" on either of those drugs, I did them strictly for the party & the party only, so I never did them on a daily basis - I was making a ton of money at the time & when it came time to party down - I was all over it !! (as for the smiley's with the rolling eyes, I put them in as I confessed my drug use, and I still roll my eyes over it)

    Cashmonkies, I'm sorry but a cup of ice is the furthest thing from my menu, I just can't seem to sit down with a cup of ice & do anything but pour a pepsi into it, I'm not here to waste anyones time, I just poured out the truth & looking for some sort of direction.

    #1- If your serious, then stop eating so much. Grab a cup of ice and munch of that. You have to try to get anywhere, this is not a magic pill. You still have to have some kind of will power.

    OP, I want to take your post seriously, but you stated that you lost weight by using cocaine & meth. Was this the method you chose to lose weight or were you hooked on the drugs & thats what caused the weight loss? The smiley emoticons before & after that paragraph are confusing me.

    Thats a heck of a lot of food to consume while taking an appetite suppresant. Have you talked with your doctor? I think its safe to say that phen just isn't working for you. Maybe your doctor can prescribe something else.

    no! u should benefit from the phen unless you stopped the meth last week, and if so thats probibally the better option for your weight loss lol, both are amphetimines which speed you up but after prolonged use has ended and a little bit of time has elaspsed the drugs effectiveness will return, which is why people start phen lose weight and have to go back on it for a month or so if they gain a little bit of weight back

    if i were you i would focus on a life style change before wasting anymore money on pills or weight loss antics, untill you decide that you wanna lose weight and figure out a diet that works for you and a way to get over the food obsession you will not be successful its all mental.... its a personal decision, its hard and untill you commit to yourself that "this time i am going to change" you will not be successful... you dont need a pill to kill the hunger.... you need the will power, take all that worry about over eating and channel it to workouts and eating healthy
