I love hot breakfast as well! I love making "mc muffins". I use a whole wheat english muffin, egg beaters, and canadian bacon (or turkey bacon). These are super good and satisfying!

It's not breakfast but it's fast. I just made chicken nuggets for dinner.....boneless/skinless chicken breasts and shake-n-bake coating. We love them!!

    Default breakfast burritos

I have heard some doctors that say to eat your carbs in the morning, that way you have all day to burn them off. Anyway, here are two that came to mind. Enjoy!

    Breakfast Burritos

    makes 24
    1 onion
    3 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    3 tablespoons butter
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    14 eggs beaten
    2 cups chopped ham
    1 cup chunky salsa
1 (4oz) can green chilies, drained
2 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
    2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
24 (8 inch) whole wheat flour tortillias

In heavy skillet, cook onion and garlic in butter and olive oil, stirring
frequently, until crisp-tender. Stir salt and pepper into beaten eggs and
add to pan. Cook egg mixture, stirring frequently, until eggs are set.
Remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients except cheeses and
tortillas. Stir cheeses together in medium bowl.

Place about 1/3 cup scrambled egg mixture on each tortilla and sprinkle
with 2 tablespoons mixed cheeses. Roll up tortilla, folding in sides, and
secure with a toothpick. Flash freeze in single layer on baking sheet.
When frozen solid, wrap each burrito in a mocrowave-safe paper towel, then
pack in zipper-lock bags, label and freeze.

To thaw and reheat: Loosen paper towel wrapping and microwave frozen
burritos, one at a time, on high power for 2 to 4 minutes, until
thouroughly heated. Or remove paper towel wrapping, re-wrap burritos in
foil, and bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes, until hot.

    Phyllo Sausage and Egg Roll

    serves 6

    1/2 pound bulk pork sausage
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 tablespoon olive oil
    1 onion, chopped
    1 red bell pepper, chopped
    6 eggs, beaten
    1/4 cup heavy cream
    1/4 teaspoon pepper
    10 phyllo pastry sheets, thawed
    1/2 cup butter, melted
    1 cup shredded Muenster cheese

In large skillet, cook pork sausage, stirring frequently, until crumbly
and well done. Drain on paper towels. Pour off fat from skillet and add
butter and olive oil. Heat over medium heat until melted. Cook onion and
    bell pepper until crips-tender.

Meanwhile, beat eggs with cream and pepper in medium bowl until blended.
Pour over vegetable mixture in skillet; cook and stir until eggs are set.
Remove from heat and stir in drained pork sausage.

Place one phyllo sheet on work surface and brush with melted butter.
Place next phyllo sheet on top of the first, and brush with butter.
Repeat with remaining 8 sheets. Place egg mixture along center of top
sheet and sprinkle with cheese. Roll up phyllo to enclose egg mixture,
folding in sides and brushing with butter to seal edges.

Wrap roll in freezer paper and freeze until firm. Wrap again in freezer
    paper, label, seal, and freeze

To thaw and bake: Let thaw overnight in refrigerator. Bake in preheated
350 oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until filling is thouroughly heated and
    pastry is brown and crips.

    boiled eggs! they're hot......

i was watching this show where a nutritionist was telling her client to get out of her head the idea that breakfast had to be eggs, bacon, etc.......

she actually reccomended that she eat soup for breakfast. i've never been a breakfast person, but i've tried to force myself to move up my normal lunch to about 10-10:30 a.m. and i eat tuna. i hear that eating lots of protein in the morning helps your weight loss.

You could do a breakfast casserole that you prepare the night before and then just pop in the oven that morning for 30 minutes. I have a recipe for one somewhere...I'm not at home now though Google it

Oooh, I forgot....Also, on the weekends, check out Bisquicks low fat mix. Add some skim or low fat milk with frozen blueberries and make some awesome pancakes! Just make 2 decent size rounds and use either low sugar or sugar free syrup. YUM!

I love a hot breakfast too! I did this yesterday and it was SO good!

Egg beaters egg whites mixed with mushrooms and fresh baby spinach, add a sprinkle of low fat feta, pepper and some light salt, mix together and make omlet in pan. I sprayed the pan with Olive Oil spray instead of butter and it was FABULOUS.

If you don't have time to fry it, here is a great trick....Put all ingredients in a quart or gallon size FREEZER (has to be freezer since they are insulated) bag, throw the whole sealed bag in a pot of boiling water for about 5 mins. Take out and viola! Instant omlet!

I also love turkey bacon. Two slices isn't so bad. Lay the strips on a few paper towels and put them in the microwave for about 4 mins, dab any extra oil off with the paper towels and enjoy!

If you planned ahead, you could cook the omlet and bacon in the time it'd take you to put your clothes on in the morning!

I don't think there is anything wrong with a hot breakfast. Now there is a difference in fast food breakfast and hot breakfast to me. I usually eat eggs and bacon for breakfast. If you make it at home then you know what/how much you are eating. Now, if you don't have time to cook, I'm not sure. I have been reading about making stuff ahead and freezing it so that you can just nuke it in the microwave in the morning. (ie breakfast burritos, a breakfast TV dinner thing) If you want I can email some recipes to you.

    Question Hot Breakfast

Ok i know this sounds weird, but I love hot breakfast, like sausage, bacon, eggs, etc...but i know that I really shouldn't be eating that stuff lol but i'm so sick of cereal, and i don't like oatmeal very much...so I was wondering if any of you have any ideas of what I could have for breakfast, because right now, i tend to either skip breakfast, or just eat a 100 calorie snack pack, and occasionally i give into the hot breakfast and go to mcdonalds, so I really need some ideas lol...thanks!!
