How often do you weigh yourself?

    Hmm, maybe try going up to the whole pill for a while. A lot of people start on half and work their way up. Some take half in the morning and half in the early afternoon too.

    The fact of the matter too, is you are a smaller person and its generally hard to lose that last little bit of weight, so don't give up!!

    I actually think I may have the opposite problem of many of you. I haven't taken the phen very regularily and I also haven't taken a full pill but a few times. I usually just take a half of a 37.5 mg pill. I can't imagine I have a tolerance too it already. I have only taken 24 pills since May 1st. I took 2 weeks off and just started back up Saturday, and already today I am ready to eat a horse! It gives me energy in the morning and prohibits me from sleeping AT ALL, just not sure it works too well on my appetitie. Hmmm...I'm just so frustrated. Don't get me wrong, I am VERY happy with my progress...but I don't attribute it to the phen...more to my own diet and exercise since I haven't taken much phen at all. I have gone down 21 lbs and went from a 14 to an 8 in just under 3 months. But now I'm stuck...I just want more...I'm only 11 lbs from my original goal...you all know how it is

    I weigh every morning after I pee. And I take laxatives at night when I cant go... but I dont work, so it doesnt really matter to me. I just have to drink a ton more water to keep me hydrated...

    I only weigh once a week in the morning. I'm like you, if I do it daily I get really frustrated. How long have you been taking phen? If you've been on a while, maybe you are starting to build a tolerance and should take a break? How many mg's are you on?

    I only weigh myself when I go to the Dr. every Tuesday morning. I know if I had a scale here at home it would consume me and drive me nuts.

    I weigh almost daily in the morning after I pee, before I shower or get dressed...

    Me personally I would say weigh yourself once a week. Your weight may fluctuate, and that would drive me crazy. I like to weigh in once a week because its exciting and if I messed up it gives me time to correct it. I pretend I am on a weight loss show and have to weigh in, in front of judges.

    Mirolax is one thing I haven't tried. This may sound silly, but I hate having to go at work because we have many plumbing problems here and I would be mortified if I was the cause of the clinic flood! Benefiber has not worked and milk of magnesia is way too painful and powerful. I do take the phillips caps which help (they are just magnesium) but not sure if I should take them daily or wait til i have a problem. I'm so afraid of having to run to the bathroom all day at work. Just not good in my work environment.

    Raquel: How much mirolax do you take? Daily? And yes, I will lose about 180 lbs in 3 weeks! LOL

    Personally for me generic stool softener once a day with my phen has been working great so far. If I start to notice maybe I didn't go when I normally should have then I take two. Cheap and they work. I normally never weight myself more than once a week but for some reason this week, (my first full week on phen) I couldn't stay off the scale. I was weighing in almost every day. I stayed off the first three days and then I was on it and on it and on it and just to make sure i was on it again... If you are the obsessive type like that, maybe refuse to weight more than every other day. And you are doing the right thing with the nude morning ritual! Good luck.

    I know more about these ladies BMs than I ever thought possible. LOL

    I take Mirolax. (no cramps, no taste, no can't get to the toilet fast enough)
    but hold on, a lot of women will be able to tell you what works for them!

    Yes, I weigh myself in the buff right after I get up and use the bathroom in the morning. This may be a little TMI here, but I think being constipated may be having a big impact on my weight loss, or lack there of. I really need to fnd a do-able solution to that problem.

    i weigh myself every morning and it has been great for me, but everyone is different! if it's discouraging you then don't do it!! what time of day do you weigh yourself? it's okay to weigh yourself every day if you weigh yourself at the same TIME of day. i usually weigh 2-3 pounds more at night then i do in the morning. the majority of people who weigh themselves every day do it in the morning right after they wake up and potty! if that isn't what you have been doing then i would suggest it because i usually weigh less every morning. if that is what you have been doing and your weight is still bouncing around i would just weigh once a week, or even two weeks....whatever you can stand! good luck!

    When the numbers are going down ... every day. 1st thing in the morning.

    When they are going up, hell can freeze over before I step on it.
    Seriously as for tips ... lots of different opinions here ... I personally think it keeps you accountable. I can gain weight FAST ... and the scale is there to show it. (if I'd use it)
    But also you can be scale obsessive and that can just make you crazy.
    Also - not weighing often while you are eating correctly and seeing it go down in lbs vs. ounces .. is a great motivator.

    Find what works best for you....

    Angry How often do you weigh yourself?

    OK, I am new to these boards and I wanted to get everyones feedback. I am weighing myself everyday and getting VERY discouraged. My weight fluctuates daily (and not in the right direction!) and I am wondering if this is helping or hurting my frame of mind. Any tips? Should I only weigh once or twice a week?

    Just some back ground. I gained 32 lbs in 2.5 years being in a bad marriage. Since leaving my husband almost 3 months ago I have gotten back into eating right and exercise and have lost 21 lbs. But in the past 4-6 weeks, only about 2-4 lbs. despite my strenous effort. Any tips?
