    Fiber One Bars are awesome! Its like eating a candy bar. They are my guilty pleasure!

    I bought some caramel ones at the store today, and I just finished eating one. OH MY GOSH THEY ARE SO YUMMY!!! Thank you for recommending them! I can't wait to try the chocolate ones. lol

    Has anyone tried the cereal? I saw a caramel cereal, looks like golden grahams (my fave). Its like $4 a box at wal mart though which is kinda high for me. I did get a .75 off coupon today at the dr.s office so now ill probably try it and take it to work one week to replace the bar I usually have for breakfast.

    Okay in order to test your theory out I had three fiber one bars yesterday....I didn't have any more gas than normal..and I didn't poo today..so fiber just doesn't work one me like it does you......give your body time to adjust to it.....when I first started colonix I really thought i was going to set fire to the house if someone lit up a cigarette!

    I tried the caramel ones about 3 or 4 months ago...I thought they were the greatest thing since sliced bread until I ate one for breakfast and another for lunch. I thought I would die!! The bad thing was that I had to stay late at work that day b/c I was teaching a night class!!!! I told my brother and sister-in-law what happened and they laughed b/c they had already experienced the same thing...now we just refer to them as "**** bars." HA!

    Oats and Chocolate. Love it. It satisfies my "junk food" craving, but yet its pretty damn good for you. I've been buying anything w/ loads of fiber. I also love the Fiber One yogurt, thats 8 or 9 g fiber. I buy Kashi cereal..9 g fiber. And yeah. I do drink a looooot of water.

    i love fiber one bars.. im sooooo addictted to them i have been for months.. ive had no gas from them .. i eat the chocolate and oats one.. YUM! hehe tastes like frickin candy!

    Dadgum, Peanut butter ones, strawberry and almond ones...where the heck are ya'll finding these flavors?...I live in a podunk town with two small grocery stores and neither of them carry the bars...I have to get mine from
    Sam's and they only have the caramel and the chocolate ones...

    I absolutely love the Peanut Butter ones!! YUMMY!!!!!
    I had bad gas in the beginning too, but I up'd my water intake which helped.

    now I am used to the fiber amount... so no gas!
    Height= 5'8"
    SW = 259 1/24/08
    CW 2/21/08 = 238 Lost 20 lbs
    CW 3/20/08 = 234 total 24 lbs went off phen
    CW 4/18/08 = 221 toal 33 lbs *reached mini goal
    CW 6/9/08 = TOM & Vacation.... 231 dang it- But it was fun
    CW 7/1/08 = 222
    CW 8/5/08 = 215 -Down 45lbs WOOT WOOT!!!!

    Next Mini Goal = 210

    Hi Mandy, I don't much like the low carb thing either but sweets and starches are my weakness...Low fat diets have never worked for me like the low carbs have..I'm just hoping the phen will help me stick to what does my body good...

    And :BTW: , if you are 216 pounds in that siggie pic, then DAYUM I can't wait to weigh 216! You are smokin gf! Keep up the good work...

    I don't like the whole carb thing... most of the carbs from a fiber one bar are good for you energy carbs. I would only limit the amount of bad carbs I ate.

    Thank ya'll for the responses...Ok, so I'll keep eating them for a few days and see if the gas passes..(no pun intended..lol)
    However if 20 grams of carbs is what I'm suppose to have a day to help lose weight then the bars are no
    good unless you don't eat another gram of carbs all day...They have like 21 net carbs in each bar...ugh

    I've loved those caramel fiber ones since they were put on the market..they don't give me gas so I guess I'm lucky....drink water after you eat it....that helps with gas causing foods ( or so WW told me)...

    As far as fiber goes I really love beans, I would put more of them into your diet if you can...they are full o' fiber. Another option is some kind of colon cleanse...something with psyillium husk. I did colonix by dr natura and have been pretty regular since except occasionally...
    I did it!! Reached goal and have been here for quite a while thanks to low carb eating and working out like crazy! Phen didn't work for me, but that isn't to say that there aren't other ways. God bless all of you!

    I am glad that you mentioned this. I do recall that your body has to adjust to an increase in fiber. I guess it did not help that I was eating 2 or 3 a day either..LOL. I can go back to my bars. I will just have a couple a week.

    I have one everyday for breakfast.. I haven't seen the caramel ones though =/

    I did see strawberry and almond at the store the other day, they were good but I like oats and chocolate better =)

    I guess im used to them already because I don't have excessive gas.

    Ohhhh... they have a fiber one yogurt that I just bought. It comes in a 6 pack and is only 80 calories per cup w/20% of your daily fiber.

    Sorry you are having this problem, but glad it is not just me. I instantly fell in love with the Oat n' Chocolate, but I have not had any in a few days because of exactly what you are experiencing.

    When I am seriously doing low carb I am for 20 grams or less per day.

    I just recently tried them based on another post to get extra fiber in my diet. I bought the apple cinnamon ALL BRAN ones. They were delicious, I'd have it as a replacement for breakfast. They definitely made me fell full, but OMG...the bloating and gas. According to the other post, it will be that way until your body adjusts and gets used to the extra fiber. But boy oh boy, that is not cool when you have to work all day! Needless to say, after I finished that boy I haven't purchased anymore, instead I purchased my golden delicious apples and some baby applesauce. I'll get my fiber that way. LOL!!

    The fiber one bars have the same effect on me ... it's miserable and it's sad because I like them. But I have stopped eating them ...

    My stomach swelled up so much I looked like I had 4-5 months pregnant, gut was hard and funny shaped. I was in the bathroom as much as out. yeahhh ok, TMI.


    As for Low Carb ... what's too many?
    Well on Atkins 20 NET carbs are recommended to start with then you can up them slowly.

    Too many would equal when you are not losing weight.

    Be sure to calculate NET carbs, you'll have more to work with that way.
