    i always put it on random... and i start at level 10... i think it goes up to 15... and i walk @ 3.8mph cuz thats prac. joggin to me cuz i SHORT.. lol... i can start joggin @ 4.0 lol i love doing random cuz u "dont know whats commin" lol even though there is a pix of whats commin next... ur muscles dont know .. there we go! lol

    and u burn SUPER cals by doing random i HEART it but i do eliptical random too... thatll kick ya bootay!

    i love inclines.. even though i hate them ha!

    When I do the treadmill I do an incline of 6 at a brisk walk.... but after the first 10mins, I jog for 2... then after every set of 5 mins I jog for 2... I keep rotating that for an hour! I LOVE IT!!! Then I slow down for a cool down.
    Height= 5'8"
    SW = 259 1/24/08
    CW 2/21/08 = 238 Lost 20 lbs
    CW 3/20/08 = 234 total 24 lbs went off phen
    CW 4/18/08 = 221 toal 33 lbs *reached mini goal
    CW 6/9/08 = TOM & Vacation.... 231 dang it- But it was fun
    CW 7/1/08 = 222
    CW 8/5/08 = 215 -Down 45lbs WOOT WOOT!!!!

    Next Mini Goal = 210

    Yes ma'am! It will burn many more calories. I would suggest bringing it up for 5 mins, then down 2, but when it's down increase your speed. By doing it that way, you are getting and keeping your heart rate moving and it burns that fat right off!

    I definitely use the incline. When I don't, I don't seem to work up as much of a sweat. Just as Scat says it works the butt, and also works your thighs really well too.

    when you raise that incline it targets the glutes better...my old trainer used to call that "climbing a mountain"..it is a great way to use the treadmill and is more of a resistance workout......
    I did it!! Reached goal and have been here for quite a while thanks to low carb eating and working out like crazy! Phen didn't work for me, but that isn't to say that there aren't other ways. God bless all of you!

    Default Treadmill Incline

    Does anyone use the incline when they are on the treadmill? Today I put it up to 10 and boy it had me sweatttiinnng and all out of breath, but it felt great.

    What areas does that work and is it effective in burning additional calories vs your regular jog
