    Aberro - I have only been on phen for 2 1/2 weeks, so I haven't changed up my diet at all yet. I do splurge and eat out once a week, and it usually isn't diet food. I have heard a lot of good things about changing it up though, so it would definately be worth a try.

    Raquel - I'm in AR... is that close enough??

    Insearchofme - That's awesome! We can report to eachother how well we are doing with our goal!!

    Melinda - You have done so well for yourself, I bet you can hit that 150 goal by your B-day!! Keep us posted on how your doing!

    I would say 10 ibs a month would be a good goal. I try and set my goals a little farther apart. Like right now my next goal is be down to 155 by my birthday august 23rd but i think i may need to change it to more like 150 since i have already made it to 166 as of right now.

    I am so much the opposite of you Nikki! I'm SO competetive that if I set my goal low, I feel like I have no challenge. I want to set my goal higher than what I could accomplish with just phen alone. I want to set it for something that I'm going to have to work my *ss off for!! Then if I fall a little short I know I need to work harder.

    I'm not sure if 15 lbs. is doable for month two since I've already had the initial burst of water weight leave me... but 10 lbs sounds like a good challenge. Then I WOULD have to change my vaca goal!!
    Go for the 10lbs. I am competitive too so I understand where you are coming from. I will make that my goal for the month as well.

    YAY...its nice to hear that you moved down..I however have not and its been almost a month. hmmmm...what did you do differently? Did you stick with your normal routine of eating/exercise, or did you up something or lower something? Just curious, because I MUST lose! This is very frustrating!

    Yeah, I was thinking 10 would be a good goal for a month. You don't want to loose too much too fast. That seems like a healthy/reasonable goal.

    Congrats to you! You are doing a great job! I would say 8-10 lbs. This is a healthy and realistic loss. If it ends up being less, it's ok! Any loss is a loss and puts you closer to your goal! Good Luck!

    That site sounds kinda cool, I think I'll try it out. thanks! I have to set multiple goals for myself... I'm super competetive, obsessive compulsive, and can't focus on just one thing at a time (I think some would refer to that as ADD). Like right now... I'm typing on this forum, balancing my checkbook, and watching tv with my husband. I have to have a lot going on or I'm bored. I weigh daily, set daily and weekly eating goals, I set weekly work out goals, I set a personal monthly goal, I have a Sept goal, and I have my ultimate goal. I'm just weird like that!! lol

    i set more long term goals............like in april when i started i signed up on this site (calorie count plus) where you type in your current weight and goal weight. then, it calculates an estimated date for you when you should realistically reach that goal. you can type your updated weight in there daily if you want to and your estimated date will change based on what you put in. on april 2nd i was 202 and my goal was to be 160 by the time i went to the beach on july 28th. now, i'm 168 so i still have a month to work with 8 pounds. according to the website i wouldn't have reached my goal until may of 2009! now, with my updated weight it says i will reach 160 in late august. long term goals work best for me cus i won't be so disappointed if i miss my shorter goals because TOM or just a bad week, but everybody is different.

    I think a pound a week is reasonable. You can aim for two. I like going lower on my goal so when i bump past.... i feel like i am super accomplished!

    I wasn't going to set YOUR goal but I think if you go by the book and do the 2lbs a week is normal/ healthy etc.
    if you did that ... you'd allow for TOM too and it would be GREAT!

    If you do above and beyond that ... well so be it show off : )

    That is so awesome!! WOo hooo! I was thinking a good goal would be 10-15 lbs.

    When I started phen my doctor said that i'd prolly lose 20 the first month and 10 for the next two and 8 there after. All of that also depends on how much you have to lose, how much you exercise and watch what you eat.

    So far I have kept right at her numbers. I'd say a good goal would be 10 lbs.

    I am rejoicing you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A realistic goal for you in my opinion is 15 lbs by Aug 1st. Yep its obtainable, but leaves room for life to happen too!!! What do you think?

    Smile Yippie!! and ?????

    Thank you guys so much for helping me stay motivated last week when I was down b'c my scale wasn't moving... I totally stuck to it like you guys said. B'c of ya'll I met my monthly goal of 180lbs!!!! (with a whole day to spare ) I can't believe the scale moved three pounds after being stationary for EVER! What a pick-me-up! Thank you guys for all your help... I'm sure there will be plenty of days ahead where I'll be depressed. (sometimes being female ****s!! )

    Ok, now I would like some input... I want to set my next months goal. I want something that will be possible, but not so small that I don't feel the need to strive for it. I'm a very competetive person... I need a difficult yet reachable goal. Any suggestions or advice?
