I have something that is simple:

Fat free graham cracker pie crust

    low fat cool whip

    lemon juice

    Splenda or confectionate sugar

Mix lemon juice, splenda or confectionate sugar, and cool whip (Mix to your desired taste!) I like mine tart! Pour into graham cracker crust. Cover and chill in refrigerator for 30-45 minutes.

According to my calorie counting site, Sara Lee All Butter Pound Cake has....

320 calories for one slice (1/4 of a cake).

Yikes! The fruit calories wouldn't be very much, but it's called pound cake for a reason:
1 lb. butter,1 lb. sugar, 1 lb. flour, 1 lb. eggs= 4 lbs. on your thighs. LOL

If you are really craving it, I bet you could put the berries in a bowl, crumble 1/2 of a slice over that, and top it with Sugar-Free Cool Whip. That way you'd feel like you are eating a lot but you'd only injest 1/2 the calories of the cake eating it the "normal" way.

Do you like chocolate eclairs? I make this with fat free or sugar free everything.

    Chocolate Eclair Dessert

    Ingredients
    2 packages instant vanilla pudding
    3 cups milk
    8 ounces non-dairy whipped topping
1 (16 ounce) box graham crackers (you will have some leftovers)
1 (15 ounce) container chocolate frosting
    Directions
Mix together vanilla pudding mix and milk.
    Fold in whipped topping.
Line 9 x 13 pan with one layer of graham crackers.
Put half of the pudding mixture over the graham crackers.
Place a second layer of graham crackers over the pudding mixture.
Put the remaining pudding mixture over the graham crackers.
Place a third layer of graham crackers over the pudding mixture.
Heat the tub of frosting in the microwave for 30 seconds to soften.
Spread frosting on the top of the last layer of graham crackers.
Cover with plastic wrap and let set a couple hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
    Cut in squares.

I scanned the picture of the cupcakes. It was in the Columbus Dispatch's Wednesday Food Section this week. I'm sure it would look a bit better if it weren't a newspaper clipping, but it is what it is.

If you put Ward's dessert in a clear footed bowl you can call it a "Trifle" and people will think you're a smancy-fancy chef. LOL
Trifles are super easy to do, look great, and everyone will go bonkers over chocolate and how fancy it looks. You can easily adjust it to be lower calories/low fat. I think I doubled the amounts of everything to fill my bowl.

    From Allrecipes:
1 (19.8 ounce) package brownie mix
1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
    1/2 cup water
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 (1.5 ounce) bar chocolate candy (make sure it's cold)
    DIRECTIONS:
1.Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and cool completely. Cut into 1 inch squares.
2.In a large bowl, combine pudding mix, water and sweetened condensed milk. Mix until smooth, then fold in 8 ounces whipped topping until no streaks remain.
3.In a trifle bowl or glass serving dish, place half of the brownies, half of the pudding mixture and half of the 12 ounce container of whipped topping. Repeat layers. Shave chocolate onto top layer for garnish. Refrigerate 8 hours before serving.

I lay out angel food cake first, I pull it apart and spread it on the bottom layer.I than take vanilla pudding instant the hunts kind in a cup. (to easy) Put a layerof that next, I take a cn of cherri pie filling and place a layer of it. Than a large can of crushed Pineapples layer it out, next is whipped cream. I do this about 2 times. The last thing I do is place fresh blue berries on top of the last layer of whip tpping. OH I forgot the nuts. I put peacans crushed you can buy them a walli world in a package. Than is my July 4th desert. It is red with the cherries white with whipped topping and blue with blus berries. Every time we have a party I am asked to bring it. Just make sure and make it the day of and put it in the fridge for at least 2 hours to get good and cold. hope it works for you!!!!!

Is jello out of the question? I saw a cute mold at walmart that was in the shape of the flag. You could do red, white and blue jello. Sugar-free even.

I just cut out a magazine picture of cupcakes. I don't know if I can describe it well, but they are iced with a large opening writing tip and it looks like they piped a base and lifted the tip while squeezing less so that each one looks like a stretched Hershey's Kiss. When done all over, it looks a bit like exploding fireworks. They are really cute and look easy to do. If you like, I can scan the picture and post it.

    Default July 4th desserts.....yum!

I want to make something for the Fourth of July, something like a dessert, but I'm not sure of what to do! Just wondering if any of you have ideas....low fat/calorie or not, it doesn't matter. If it is fatty I'll just look at it

I'm looking for something that would have red, white and blue in it or something to that effect.

    Thanks in advance!
