I was going to say, cardio isn't necessarily better than strength training but I guess it depends what you're going for. All exercise burns calories, but each of them have their perks. I would recommend both, since you don't want to do "weights" everyday anyway (give your muscles a rest). If you alternate, you get the benefits of both!

Of course its okay, in fact I do very little cardio on the days I lift heavy......pretty much just warm up for a few minutes before weight training........as long as you get your cardio in the other days you'll be fine...sure, its okay to do both but I used to fine that i had no energy for cardio AFTER lifiting, and too much cardio would wear me down BEFORE lifting. By lifting I mean real lifting, not some body sculpt class or wahtever.
I did it!! Reached goal and have been here for quite a while thanks to low carb eating and working out like crazy! Phen didn't work for me, but that isn't to say that there aren't other ways. God bless all of you!

You want still want todo about 5 minutes of cardio to warm up the muscles. There are mornings that I don't have time to do both, and just lift weights. The trainers at my gym stres that the bodyu needs some time to warm up. Five minutes seem to be enough.

I think it would be fine to switch between cardio and weights-- most trainers recommend that anyway. Plus, you're building muscle, and muscle burns fat, so I say go for it!!

thanks that sounds really good. Call me crazy but I like it when im sore from working out.

Not a dumb question at all!
Cardio helps your body use the stored fat for energy & lifting weights helps build muscle mass which causes your metabolism to speed up.
Just make sure to alternate days and you should be good!

Yep it is fine. As long as you continue to do both because cardio burns calories and muscles burns fat and helps you burn fat while resting. So it's fine if you you do one and not the other on certain days.---Not a dumb question at all.

This is just me, but I always stick to various forms of cardio until I am closer to my goal weight. I know a lot of people do things differently, but this is what has worked for me.
