i think diagnosing him with multiple personality disorder is giving him way too much credit. it would put reason behind all of his insanity where i think there is none. and....MPD is very, very rare.

    >>>>Funny you should mention this Misty...I just watched to movie Sybil 2 weekends ago. I had actually forgotten about that movie as I watched it when I was much younger. Back then I remember being very intrugued by the possibility that any one person could have this go on and function in their lives. While watching the movie this time, I understood it much better. I still could not imagine what it would be like, even for a family member of someone with this diorder. Having the experience now of working with young people that have social, emotional and mental illnesses I find myself being "drawn in" by all individuals with these illnesses in every aspect of my life. Rick needs real help...professional help! The very sad thing is that people with social, emotional and mental illnesses (people that have the capacity too) seem to rationalize what is going on and therefore are unable to see that they need help and then recieve it. What is the real waste here is that Rick is a very intellegant man but his ignorance has gotten the best of him!... And from what I can see (and who knows if we have been told any truths), I dont think Rick has family around him to see that he gets help that he desperatley needs! Most people that have no one to give 'em the "push" to get help...do not get help!

Multiple personality disorder, which is also known as Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), is a psychotic (neurosis) disorder in which a person suffering from the mental disturbance undergo different experiences and his/her personality becomes dissociated into more than one personalities. These personalities dominate and control the behavior of the patient alternatively or depending on the mental stress condition.

A person suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder undergoes change in personality in just a few seconds. The patient then acts as a completely different person than he/she is in reality, the patient imitates characteristic and behavioral traits, name, history etc. of the person he/she thinks he/she is. People suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder sometimes undergo change in personality where they have alters of different genders, sexual orientations, ages, or nationalities. Any stressful situation may trigger in altering of the personality of the person who is suffering from this disorder. The person then acts, behaves as if he is someone else.

I agree Misty. Rick is obviously suffering from this! Ladies, let us not forget the real reason why we are here, so dont let Rick & all 27 of his personalities to affect this board.
The proof is in the pics!!! <3

    Starting over again!!!!
