I am starting zumba classes this week and am planning on taking the workshop to teach it. The complexity of the choreography and extent of the workout really depend on the instructor..Some instructors have a background in dance so they are a bit more "out there"...others are regular folk who just loved it so much they wanted to teach it.

There are many different DVDs , from beginners to advanced.....yoiu can get more info on the zumba website.

I Zumba about once a week. It sure does get you going and work you out its kinda like aerobics. Honestly some of the moves arent challenging enough for me. I am Cuban so I know all of those dances. I say if you like to dance try it. I would buy the older versions on ebay before you spend the $90 on the newer version.

I LOVE Zumba...but I like the music and the dancing outside of exercising, but I say, if you like that kind of music, and want to work your butt off, then work up to the hardest level, and its SO much fun!

ive been doing zumba once a week for the past month or so, i love it, i really like to dance though, if you like dancing, you will love it, it is definitely a great workout, it is not all that difficult, like i said ive been going once a week for about a month and i think i just about have all the moves down, it will take a while to get it down but just trying gives you a great workout too, i would like to do it more but its kind of expensive at the y i go to, and they only offer it twice a week, id definitely try it out though, its a fun way to get your cardio workout!

I went a few times. I wasnt a fan. Its simple and fast movement, it's a work out.

I however am biased and think I took to it a bit snobbishly (made up my own word) I have been teaching ballroom and latin dance for 11 years, dancing them for 20.......so the zumba wasnt my cup of tea.

If you like to dance you should do good with it though!

If you like to dance, Zumba is a great workout. It's pretty simple choreography, lots of options for people of all fitness levels...and anything that gets you moving and sweating on a regular basis will help fitness and weight loss.

If it looks fun, give it a try!
