    I am five foot five but I actually look HEAVIER than what i really weigh because my weight is all in my butt and thighs.....I have a small frame and just can't "carry" weight like some other people do......so when people say "oh but your weight is so low" I remind them that that is just a number, how I look and feel is more important, and right now I feel like I could stand to lose a few since I"m so bottom heavy..........

    Also the amount of body fat vs. muscle you have plays a big role too....there are people with dense muscle and are TINY yet the scale is a high number......

    Just another example of how we are a slave to the scale when we really shouldn't be, yet that is the gauge we pretty much all use....that was the problem I had with WW.....they made you crazy about the number they put on your card.....

    I did it!! Reached goal and have been here for quite a while thanks to low carb eating and working out like crazy! Phen didn't work for me, but that isn't to say that there aren't other ways. God bless all of you!

    i'm 5'4 and i'm currently bouncing around between 168-170 cus i've been eating like a cow over the weekend. a few days after i had my first child i went to the doctor and was 195. the nurse was like wow, you don't look like 195. i have big boobs, a big butt, and big thighs.....and they are all proportionate. and my fat has always been pretty "solid".....at least until i had my second kid.

    but right now at my current weight i feel like i look every bit of it because my body looks so much different now than it did pre-babies! it's more flabby instead of solid. people at work make comments like "my gosh how much more weight are you going to lose?!" and stuff like that.....but they don't realize i'm still very overweight for my height.

    I personally think that if you are tall, its harder to gauge a person's weight. I think its funny when I go to the doctor's office & even before I lost the weight, the nurses would start the scale at the 100 lb mark. I would try to tell them that they needed to move it to the 150 mark & start from there. I don't usually tell my weight, but a lot of people think that I am taller then what I am. I have very long legs & a short torso.

    hmmm this is tricky! lol sometimes when i c someone who weighs less i think ... o gosh so that means im bigger than her? lol... but then at other times i feel all 208 lbs

    there was one point in time that me and my friend couple years ago.. i was in 240s and she was just over 200 like no more than 210 and we could wear the same size clothes.. cuz her stomach was alot bigger than mine but my legs were a LOT chunkier than hers soooooo i guess its how u carry it..

    although it depends what im wearing but ppl say when i ask .. .(and even when i was like 160... ) no one ever guessed as high as i weighed at least a good 30 to 40 lbs less than what i acutally weigh


    but i only 5'3 lol so im short and fat wow... lovely huh?! lol

    i'm soo jealous of all you tall girls I'm only 5'3''. And when I was @ my all time high of 242 i'm sure i looked every bit of it and then some.

    I'm 5'3" and I weigh 166 now but I did weigh 180. People always say they can't believe that I weigh what I do but I think they are trying to be nice. I have to say that I feel like I weigh this much and more.

    well hey there mandy im new to this and i havent posted a pic yet, but what i wanted to say is whats weired is that im a female only 5'5, 185lbs and no one beleives me when i tell them my weight everyone thinks i just exagerate about my weight, and most people usually guess that im 145-150 lbs and im not even close to your height. the reason u cant tell that im that heavy is because my fat is disturbuted throughout my whole body.

    Well thats encouraging!! LOL...
    I am 5' 7 1/2"... large frame (no shocker there)...
    140lbs on the low to 180 on the high (with 10% adjustment for LARGENESS!!! LOL)
    and for right now I would like to be 190.

    I can't picture myself any lower than 180... hell i was a size 9 @ 180, and i was told I was too skinny!!!
    i guess we'll just have to wait and see.... LOL

    I am 5' 6" and weight 160-165 well I can say....I feel like I weigh a TON more.....

    At times, I do not feel as I look like I do. But when i go shopping, I feel I look like every bit of my weight.

    Keep your head up, if your boyfriend says that you like you weigh 160 then he already believes that you are perfect...

    What I wouldn't do to be 5'11...lol

    I did this and I have a large frame... duh! I already knew that, but I didn't know to add 10% to the ideal weight if you have a large frame. So I added 10% to both the bottom and top number. My goal is right in the middle of that.

    Low End: 136.4 lbs
    High End: 184.33 lbs
    Low End + 10%: 150.04 lbs
    High End + 10 %: 202.76 lbs
    Goal Weight: 170 lbs

    I really have trouble imagining myself at a weight lower than 150... I mean 150 is hard enough to comprehend because I haven't weighed under 200 lbs since ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. No joke. How do ya'll feel about the standard BMI charts that are out there? Do you think that they're right on as far at the height and weight ratio or do you think they're too low? I'm just curious.
    SW: 307 LBS 9/16/10.
    In 2008 I lost 91 pounds, but I've gained it all back... so here I am, at square one, but not for long.

    I'm a 142 pounds. That doesn't sound like much, but I'm 4' 11, so according to my height and build, I was 30 pounds overweight. It all depends on where all your excess weight is on your body, I think. Because mine is totally in my stomach area, where my legs and arms are much more small.

    Very interesting! Thanks!! This is what it told me on the body frame calculator... I CANNOT even fathom how skeletal I would look if I went to the low end of their spectrum at 132!!

    Ideal weight range = between 132.64 and 179.24 pounds
    Current BMI number = 29.84
    Current Classification = Overweight
    Estimated time to achieve normal BMI = 15 weeks

    (after gaining nearly all back in the last several months of stress - had kept it off for over two years)

One of my friends said that I must carry weight really well because she never would have guessed that I was over 300.     Yeah, 142 looks A LOT different on 4'11".... like me. People probably see that number and say WOW, but Wow is right, that's A LOT for 4'11". I feel like I weigh a lot more than 142 though.

    I am 5'10, and I weigh 205. I honestly feel like I weigh much, much more. My bones ache all the time. I don't know how much more weight I need to lose to start to FEEL normal again.

    CMarie-- I am hoping and praying I look like you when I reach 187.

    I can't even believe that I have the whisker biscuits to tell people this but I'm 5'7 at 311
    You do not look 311 to me at all! You look less!

    ETA: Forgot to add mine! I am 5'6 and weigh 258. I feel every lb of it! I don't see all of it in the mirror though. Just in pictures.

    I'm 5 foot 4.5 inches and weigh (today) 137 pounds. I wear a size 6 mostly - with a few 8's and even a few 4's
    I feel like for my pants size I should weigh less - maybe 130. As far as how I look to others I don't know. I've never asked anyone what they thought I weighed, now I'm curious. My goal is 133 pounds and even then I won't be "skinny". I'll probably look pretty average. For me to feel skinny I think I would have to get down to 125 pounds, which is something I think would be to hard to maintain.

    I am 5'10 and I weigh 187. I think I look every bit of 187. I asked my husband what he thought I weighed and he said 175. I will take that as a compliment, REALISTIC, but still a compliment!

    Mandy-you look great! I would have never thought you were your size!
    I'm 5'2" and 190 and feel every bit of it. When I was at my "healthiest" I was 125-135. When I was at my skinniest at 116, but I was bulimic in high school. The BMI charts are deceiving. They say on the low end I should be around 105, and on the high end 135, but I was always muscular too. I lifted weights and ran etc... and had really strong legs and arms. The only way I could hit the low end of the BMI would by being anorexic. The numbers game is a really hard mind game to play-whether its weight or size. As long as you feel good about yourself and healthy, I wouldn't fret.

    I started at 5'6 300 lbs and wore a 24 jean.

    I am now 5'6 (duh) 230 and wear a 16.

    I feel every bit of 230- plus some.

    I am 6' and weigh a wopping 364. I absolutely feel like I weigh what I weigh. My goal is 170 and that is rather close to being overweight according to my BMI. I have a broad build though. My shoulders and hips are wider than the average so a few more lbs are o be expected. If I only get to 190 and I look the way I want to I'll stop there. It just depends on the way your body is built.

    I'm 5'2 and I weighed 219 when I went to the doct last week, and oh yea I def can see every lb of it when I look in the mirror.. Before I had my babies I was about 170-175, and being use to seeing me like that these past 3 years has done some damage.. However I have a friend who id about 5'11 and she has always been over 200 of course after her daughter she had a little belly weight but she doesn't look like I do with all of my "rolls" she hides it better because she's solid and her height takes some view off of her width.. lol..

    All depends... You don't look big at all though..
