I take a Super B-Complex that has 2mg of B6 and 15mcg of B12 plus all the other B vitamins and Vit. C. I also take a multivitamin in the evening. I don't have any problems with either. My kitten however is amazed with the bottle and just knocked it off of the desk and is batting it around the room!!! Oh and back to your question, it is actually smaller than my One-a-Day multivitamin.

Hey Rene, I take 1 - 100mg B-6 and 1 - 50mg B-12 with my phen in the morning. I believe the B-6, line Jenfri said is about the size of a tylenol and the B-12, seems to be just a little smaller than that. Even if you got the 50mg B-12, I think you'd be happy with it.

I wasn't aware of some of the things Dumbfox said though either. If you're taking other pills, you may want to talk to your doctor just to be safe to make sure it's alright to take it with everything else you're taking. I take the Walgreens brand of B-6 and it was under $4. Sometimes you can catch it buy one get one free too. I think 100mg is the largest dosage it comes in like that, but I'm not positive. It may make you sicke at your stomach if you take it first thing in the morning and if that's the case, then just take it with your breakfast or with something to eat. Actually that's the way the bottle says, but if I don't take it with my Phen, then I will not take it at all.. I'll forget.

IF you need anything else or have anymore questions, all you have to do is ask.

Good luck. Let us know how it works for you.
    Have a great day!

    Trent

Vitamin B6 has various functions. Here are some:

~A necessity for the synthesis and breakdown of amino acid, which is the building blocks of proteins
~Aids in fat and carbohydrate metabolism
~Maintain your blood glucose (sugar) within a normal range
~Assist in the formation of antibodies for our immune system to fight off diseases
~Acts in the formation of red blood cells
    ~Maintains normal central nervous system
~Aids in the removal of excess fluid of premenstrual women
~Promotes healthy skin that is radiant
~Reduces muscle spasms, leg cramps, numbness and stiffness in the hands, nausea
~Helps to maintain a proper balance of sodium and phosphorous in our body

The RDA is 2 mg a day. Doses over 200 mg can be neurotoxic, meaning they cause damage to the sensory nerves, often leading to numbness. It's one of only 2 B vitamins that can cause problems in excessive doses. Phen actually decreases (so does birth control) the levels of B6 due to it's MAO properties, so it's not a bad idea to supplement. But, if you're taking a multi-vitamin, you will want to make sure you're not getting an excess dose by supplementing. Magnesium supplements always come with B6 (usually 25 mg or so) and this is a good way to take it. Also, B6 can reduce the effectiveness of several medications, practically antibiotics and Parkinson's meds.
