While taking phentermine, aim for a balanced diet that provides fuels your body with healthy foods. Unless your doctor specifically tells you otherwise, aim for at least 1200 calories per day if you’re a woman, or 1500 calories per day if you’re a man.
Calories should come mainly from lean proteins, whole grains, fruits, vegetables and low-fat dairy products. Minimize or avoid sugar, refined carbs (e.g. white bread, rice, or pasta), and caloric drinks.
