There was no particular explanation for Erica's weight gain and she tried several tactics to lose the weight. However, results only came with proper exercise, a healthy diet and with the help of phentermine.
"I have always been fairly thin, weighing in at 130-145 most of my life (even after the birth of my first child in 1997). The closer I got to 30, the more I noticed my metabolism slowed down. By 31 it didn't just slow down, it came to an abrupt STOP!! Last year I delivered my second child and dropped down to my pre-pregnancy about 4 months later. What happened next still continues to baffle me.
Late fall of 2004 I started to pick up weight like never before. I started the month at about 164 pounds and as you can tell by the pictures, I was up to 185 by mid December. My appetite increased drastically and I started to get depressed about my size. I saw these pictures of me and was disappointed in how I'd let myself go. So fed up, frustrated, and tired, I decided to join Weight Watchers in late December. Didn't work! I tried Atkins, that gave me headaches - didn't work! I tried South Beach, it was too much work - didn't work! I tried excessive exercise and pulled a muscle - didn't work! I tried starving myself, I became too tired - didn't work! Then I was introduced to Phentermine.
WOW! I was able to control my appetite, while developing healthy eating habits. Phentermine took away my cravings for unnecessary meals and helped me to feel full quicker so that I didn't overeat.
I fit in exercise into my routine - I am a Certified Aerobics Instructor and I teach step aerobics three times a week. Me and my hubby also take neighborhood walks 2-3 days a week after dinner. For breakfast, I eat a small bowl of Oatmeal with raisins or pecans. Lunch consists of Chicken Breast wrap or Tuna Salad. Dinner alternates meat day with no meat day. I would eat lots of veggies on my no meat day and on the meat day, I would have chicken, fish or steak with a veggie. For those sweet tooth cravings I would have an occasional scoop of my favorite ice cream or pudding!!
As a result, the weight started to drop! I have been LOVING it!! My husband was so impressed, HE TOO is trying it and it is working beautifully for him as well.

| Erica I entered a local "American Idol" like competition in February that was televised and had the opportunity to see myself on TV. I looked HUGE!! That was IT!! I had six weeks to prepare for the finale of the show and I was determined to meet my weight loss goal by then. |
