140 pounds
"When I became pregnant in July 2004, I weighed 150 pounds. I was on the lifetime maintenance plan of the Atkins diet. I had lost 40 pounds by doing this diet and had maintained my weight for 2 years. Well as my cravings increased and I felt the need for more fruit, I stopped Atkins, cold turkey. I gained a total of 84 pounds during my pregnancy. YES, 84 pounds.
I had high blood pressure during my pregnancy and literally swelled like a balloon. After I lost some of the water weight, I decided it was time to lose ALL of my pregnancy weight. My weight loss was primarily for my son but I also wanted to lose it for me and my husband.
I managed to lose 50 pounds on my own. After that I was stuck and decided to ask my doctor for help. He prescribed phentermine to me. I am now in the weaning process, taking 1-37.5 every other day. I will be doing this for at least another month and then I am not sure of the doctor's plan from there.
Phentermine was a godsend to me. It allowed me the energy to exercise and gave me a wonderful amount of self control. I have learned to eat healthy again instead of doing just a low carb diet. I now eat fruit and grains. I consider nothing off limits and just eat reasonably. Phen has been there for me through all of this."

Phentermine.com What is the deciding factor that made you decide to change your lifestyle? |
Amanda I wanted to lead a healthy lifestyle for my son and husband. I didn't want my son to have a fat mommy. Kids can be so mean and I don't want my son to be made fun of because of something that he can't control. |
Phentermine.com What was the most difficult adjustment to your new lifestyle? |
Amanda Understanding to eat reasonable and learning the difference between good and bad. There are some foods that I always thought to be healthy until I started reading the labels. |
Phentermine.com What is the most rewarding part of your new lifestyle? |
Amanda I was so excited to fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I have lost a little extra weight. I feel wonderful and wouldn't change any of this for the world. |
Phentermine.com Do you have any words of advice for the Phentermine.com community? |
Amanda Stay focused and don't let one bad day get the best of you. Keep a good eye on your weight because it can creep back on fast. I never feel like I am on a diet because I can eat whatever I want, just smaller amounts. It helps my mental perspective and keeps me in line. If you fall off, get back up. And finally, come to phentermine.com regularlly for the much needed support and ideas. |
