I got prescribed phentermine just two days ago. I immediately saw a dramatic reduction in my appetite. Actually, so much so that I had to force myself to eat a cup of cottage cheese for fear I was going to become ill from not eating in days. I just don't think about it throughout the day, and when eating does come up, it just feels like a chore. I have had a slight headache and dry mouth, but not too bad. Increased energy. I feel great all day long. I am having trouble sleeping, however. But I'm hoping it will be worth it. I am 5'8 170 lbs. I have not been able to lose the pregnancy weight no matter how hard i tried after I had my 3rd child 2 years ago. Obviously it's only been a couple of days so no loss yet, but I will update at the end of the 30 days. Read less

I've been on phen for about 2 weeks now and I've lost 7lbs.
Preface: I have bad anxiety and occasional depression. I weighed 115lbs in college. dated, got married and ultimately had a child. I started Phen at 164lbs.
Current: I love how its curbed my appetite which makes it so much easier to make healthier food choices which in turn, is turning into a habit. I did skip 2 doses due to excessive anxiety or just got so busy with work I couldn't stop to eat so I could take my pill. During those days I missed, my appetite wasn't as suppressed but I still had cotton mouth.
Side effects so far are occasional mild headaches(i suffer from migraines so these are a breeze) dry mouth, irritability(nothing really new or uncontrollable) I am more forgetful. I drank coffee and energy drinks for so long that the palpitations are a normal thing. Like a tolerance.
I have noticed a decrease in effectiveness after the first 2 weeks. My stomach growls when I'm hungry otherwise I wouldn't know when to eat. I still crave sweets but its so much easier to refuse now.
I've cut all soda and greatly decreased unnecessary sugar intake, decreased carb intake such as breads, chips and other snack foods. Made a complete overhaul on my diet choices. I need help drinking water despite the cotton mouth. Oh, another weird side effect is yawning even though I'm not tired. I have absolutely no problem sleeping, but I did notice I need a nap during the day.

Prescription was for 37.5 milligrams however due to caffeine sensitivity it was recommended to me to only take half I took it consistently every day along with B12 for about 6 months and weaned myself off going for him everyday to every other day. I lost about 13 pounds total gaining 3 back it was great for temporary relief over the summer. Took about 3 days for me to adjust to the caffeine and if I didn't get in at least an hour of vigorous workout my mood would be cranky and it felt as though my heart was racing. It also affected my sleep making me jittery. Sometimes would have to compensate with sleeplessness of taking a half of Benadryl just to calm down. Also makes you thirsty makes you feel like you are a parched. It is recommended that you drink half your weight in ounces every day even if I met my requirement of 80 ounces still felt like it wasn't enough and I would be peeing every hour. My regular Doctor did not want me on it for a very long time because I would not see the same results I did the first time due to tolerance and it can cause heart palpitations. I researched this product extensively through clinical trials found on the internet with legitimate sources. Recently started to take it again however results are not the same as the first time and its effect on my mood was more intense. Recently have completely stopped taking it due to its of my mood and sleepless nights family started getting concerned as well as I and have decided to cease all together. Read less

So I started Phen on 10/1/2016. I take 37.5 mg tablet first thing in the morning with lemon water. I definitely felt a bit anxious the first few weeks, had a headache the first few days, slight difficulty getting to sleep the first week or two and dry mouth was on and off! I have had continued constipation! I take Miralax to help with that. No big deal with the dry mouth since I am drinking about 100 ounces of water a day. If you can make it past a 2 week adjustment period you will be good! Stick it out! If its nothing serious!! I keep track of my eating with "my fitness pal"free app. -LOVE!!! I do have to force myself to eat-weird!!! I eat breakfest, lunch, dinner and snack about 1200 calories day! Lots and lots of water!!!! My choices are healthier and smaller portions! I dont eat out much and never eat fast food! I have cut out coffee and soda completely at this point! It took a bit with soda. Started off reducing it to diet coke then went to one a day! Now have stopped it all together . This has been a lifetime struggle! I love regular coke!! I used to drink one first thing in the AM. Several large cokes a day. Firstly -I am a woman 5'9 , 246.5 pounds. 45 years old- been overweight for 20 years now !!! Tried everything to loose weight! I did not weigh myself at all the first month. First weigh in- after one month I had lost 19 months! Second month 14 pounds! I weighed myself today after 9 weeks I weigh 210! Down 36 pounds! I will be on this for one more month! Then stop for a bit! My goal was to get below 200 then stop meds. Try and do it without meds to get to 160pds. Right now I am feeling positive and am very glad I made this choice. Hope this helps a bit. Also work on yourself! I am an emotional eater so I need to change the way I deal with stress/anxiety! I am reading Food addicts anonymous book -it helps me! Good luck and dont be too hard on yourself ! Its a marathon not a race!!! Read less

I've been taking Phentermine for a little over 3 weeks now, and my total weight loss is 11lbs. I started off at 183 and as of today, I'm at 172 I was expecting a little better results due to the reviews I've read, but I'm happy that they're working! I've experienced many side effects, energy, loss of appetite, headaches, difficulty breathing, dizziness, dry mouth, mood changes and rapid heartbeat. After a while they've all seemed to go away. Except the difficulty breathing (which I've always had, phentermine just intensifies it), headaches and mood changes. I started walking everyday, and slowly just ended up doing nothing work out wise, and just watching what I eat, and my portions. I'm planning on starting to get back in the gym. Hoping it'll help my results more! Read less
