Default Guilt For No Reason
HELLO EVERYONE,

I'M ANOTHER NEWBIE. I'VE BEEN ON PHEN FOR ABOUT 9 TO 10 WEEKS NOW. I HAVE LOST 30 LBS (24 LBS ON PHEN).
I WILL START OUT WITH A LITTLE BACKROUND: I HAVE BEEN ON SO MANY DIETS! WEIGHT WATCHERS, HERBALIFE, SOUTHBEACH, ATKINS, LIQUID, LOW FAT...YOU GET THE POINT. WELL NEEDLESS TO SAY, I ALWAYS END UP FAILING. AND, EVERYTIME I FAIL I GET THIS OVERWHELMING FEELING OF GUILT. I ALWAYS THINK TO MYSELF... ANOTHER FAILED DIET, WILL I EVER LOSE WEIGHT?! BUT, SINCE I'VE BEEN OF PHEN I'VE BEEN DOING REALLY WELL. I HAVE NEVER GONE THIS LONG BEFORE WITHOUT GIVING UP.

UNFORTUNATELY, IT'S BEEN BITTERSWEET. ON ONE HAND I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF AND IT FEELS SO GOOD WHEN OTHERS NOTICE THE WEIGHTLOSS. BUT, ABOUT THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS I HAVE ALSO BEEN FEELING GUILTY. IT'S ALMOST AS IF MY MIND IS SO USED TO THE ROUTINE OF DIETING AND THEN GIVING UP THAT, I'M FEELING THE GUILT AND UGLINESS THAT I FEEL WHEN I'VE FAILED...EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T FAILED. I'VE DONE GREAT.

SOUNDS A LITTLE WEIRD, I KNOW. BUT I'M HOPING SOME ONE CAN RELATE AND MAYBE SHARE SOME INSIGHT.

THANKS FOR READING! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Default Your stats show great success.....
Hot Mama,
You are doing it so keep it up! I know exactly how you feel though. A couple of years ago I lost 52 pounds on WW and was a superstar at the place where I weigh in. I was on a roll losing every week like a champ! Then something in my personal life happen and I gained it all back. Instead of a champ, I felt like a chump!! I lost all motivation and have not gotten my mojo back to this day. Like you I have tried every diet from A to Z. Finally, I’m at a place where I’m thinking about Lap Band and a friend (who has lost 35 pounds on Phen) told me to try Phen first before starting the Lap band process so far I have had great results. I've had my set backs but I have tunnel vision and can only see my goal. I am hoping that this will take me where I need go in my weight loss so that I can close this chapter in my life and concentrate on other aspects of my life. Good luck and stay focused! You can do this! (preaching to the choir).

Default Guilt...
Sometimes guilt comes when we are at the finishline or about to experience a break through. (That light bulb moment) Wisdom is knowing the difference between truly not being able to do something or not allowing ourselves to succeed because we dont deserve it ( we can be our own worst enemy sometimes) We need to allow ourselves to win the race. Again, preaching to the choir!

I've learned a lot over the course of the last 2-3 years having lost 100 lbs. You must love yourself no matter what weight you are at. You are doing great. The mirror and scale are only one way to measure your success. Go get a new hair style or outfit. You deserve it. Good luck.

Thank you all for the support and wisdom! Congrats to you julie! 100 pounds lost is so awesome! Zoe and tta thanx for the great advice! And I think I will go get me a new outfit!
It really helps to hear from people that are going (or have gone) through the same struggles. And, you're right, those of us making an effort to become healthy, definately deserve it!
