Just needed to shout it from the digital rooftops:

I JUST MADE MY SHORT TERM GOAL WEIGHT!!!!

Whoo-hoo!! You ladies (and gentlemen) have been such an inspiration. I love you guys. Stick with me cause I know the slow down in coming and I need to keep this motivation...
(would it be soooo wrong to cheat with a half snickers bar to celebrate???)

This is what lovinlife told me today, "don't deprive yourself or you will just want to binge later. You should be trying to develop better eating habits for a lifestyle, not a "diet" per se. Have a small piece of chocolate this weekend if you want. You should still have things you like in moderation. Just make sure to keep it in check!"

Maybe not half a snickers but a fun size snickers wouldn't be too bad.

You have every right to a small,very small, reward. You also have every right to feel like a giggly teenager! You have done a wonderful job!

Ok, then. Instead I bought a sugar free individual russel stovers low cal pecan delight. 35 calories, and mmm mmmm good.

I feel like sticking a candle in it.

Oh! Here is one more pic that I liked too... and thanks Unico for the advice. BTW, Unico was my favorite cartoon as a kid...

Congratulations! What did you do to lose 51 pounds in 2 months? I would love to know.I lose about 1.75 pounds a week, even when I kinda jumped off my diet for this past 2 weeks. Jumping back on though.How tall are you?

Hello there MomofTwins!! I see that we started out on the same day!! Yeah for us!

Long story short, On May 17 I made the decision to stop making excuses about why I wasn't going to ever lose the weight, and for how much I ate and the way I ate it, and why I didn't ever ever exercise. I swallowed my first pill and cleaned out my fridge and my life.

I went from 0 diet and exercise for 3 years to instantly doing aerobics 3X/wk for 1 hr (even if I was just wobbling and panting toward the end) and strength and weights (2lb) 3X/wk. On Sunday I dance with the kids all over the living room and then go jump on the trampline with them.

I also stopped eating anything at one time larger than my cell phone ( i know, odd measuring tape). I eat no more red meat, mostly only white chicken. Lots and lots of raw vegetable and fresh fruit as meals or broth with vegetables. No butter no bread that I didn't make myself and no carbonated beverages. OUCH.

It is not easy or fun, but the difference in the way I feel totally makes up for it. Before I was tired ALL the time. I even made excuses as to why my house was never ever totally in order from top to bottom.

So, I wear my arm and leg weights and make myself vacuum every night, and wear them while I do laundry. Dorky? YES. Does it work? YES.

So.... It works for me, I have 2 kiddos too, but what are you doing??

Oh, BTW, I am 5'1".

You did an awesome job.

YOU LOOK WONDERFUL!

I can't weight to have that feeling that you have.

Your doing so well. I would rather buy something or treat myself to a massage, than eat something that i know i'm gonna think about later... but a fun size snickers does sound good.


If you don't mind me asking how many calories do you take in a per day.

WOW Nikkii! 8 lbs in 7 days! You are doing awesome girl! And look at that pretty face... You have nothing to worry about.

As for the calories, slightly unhealthy question, that...

In the beginning, before I knew better, I was trying to stay as close to 500 calories as possible, and then I realized that I was starving myself too much. Easy to do since I am never hungry anymore, but still, unhealthy.

Now I try to stay between 800-1000 a day, but I frequently go on up to 1200 depending on how healthy the splurge is.

It has been hard the last 3 weeks, though. I have been in and out of the hospital and unable to take my phen or to eat the diet that I want to. I have some serious endometriosis, and it has tangled itself in my colon and the docs think they are going to have to remove my colon in a couple of weeks. I have only lost 2 lbs in 3 weeks. I can't exercise b/c of the pain, but I am still doing what I can. I am looking forward to resolving all of this and getting back on track to feeling healthy again...

OHHH, and a massage sounds so divine, but seriously, a snickers is only like 50 cents... Much closer to my price range. hee hee
