A Verse To Ponder.

My world changed on Tuesday.
A flag now hangs outside my front door.
I bring it in at night so darkness can not prevail over it.
I care for it and make sure that it never touches the ground.
Today and for a time it will hang at half mast.
I drive with my car lights on.
Day and night.
I am wearing the colors of my Country
Red, White and Blue

In my car I listen to talk radio.
I use to listen to music and change the channels when the news came on.
I listen to those who have been affected by Tuesdays attacks.
Sometimes I can not help the tears that come.
I watch the news when I am home.
I use to watch sitcoms and change channels when the news came on. I watch
and listen to those who are searching for their loved ones.
Sometimes I can not help the tears that come.
I wondered on Tuesday where God was. I called to Him several times while
watching the tragedy that unfolded.
I heard others calling to Him as well
I thought that He had taken a break from watching over us.
Then, I happened to see God. . .
He is wearing a Fireman's uniform
He is wearing a Policeman's uniform
He is wearing Doctor's scrubs
He is wearing Nurses scrubs
He is wearing jeans and T-shirts
His sleeves are rolled up, His hands are dirty
He is tireless in His search for survivors
He touched lives today
He is my neighbor
He is my friend
He is always with us.

Did you see Him?
I pray that you did and will say a prayer of thanks for you are alive today.
God bless and keep you safe.

The tree of life knows that, whatever happens, the warm music spinning
around it will never stop. However much death may come, however much blood
may flow, the music will dance with men and women as long as the air breaths
them and the land plows and loves them.

Kim,

Did you write that? It's very beautiful, thank you so much for sharing, yes that will make us cry again. But I am not sure when the tears will ever stop. I now have to hide them from my children because the counsler at school sent us a letter telling us that we should not be overly emotional in front of our children. I ask you if we can't be emotional when thousands of our brothers and sisters have died and our country is contemplating war, when can we be emotional?

I know that we are supposed to be strong for our children so they won't be scared, so that is why this forum is so important, so that I may come in and read beautiful emotional post from my friends..............

thank you Kimjo, you have touched my heart.

much love and peace

No I didn't write it but if feels like I did. I find myself doing the same things that this person wrote about.

I can't imagine having someone that past away from this senseless act.

I just don't want to see the war continue....

Too many people have already died.

Kimjo, this verse is me exactly. I met a girlfriend for lunch today, and of course, all we did was talk about this situation. She said she was doing the same thing as me and your verse so touched me that I copied it and emailed it to her. There is not a day that goes by when I don't stop to think about what has happened and start crying. I start my morning by turning on the TV in case CNN shows something that happened while I slept (not that I do much of that nowdays either). I end my night by watching my local 10:00 news to see what happened. Things will get better.
