The dog above was sent to New York to help recover bodies on Friday. He is loved but he has a job to do now.

Please Pray for him.(His name is Jethro)Several of the canine units are very sick now due to asbesto's poisoning

Hi Dane..thanks for that and reminding us of our pets in this time. I swear my dog senses something aweful happened ...he looks sad & scared and won't leave my side. Marg in NY

He isn't mine. I do volunteer work at a dog rescue and he was a resident there. He was being trained to scent out drugs. They are going to "re-scent" him up there.

Oh, I see. Well, he'll still get my prayers, poor little thing. My daughter and I are animal nuts. I think strays pass the word around that my house is a safe haven and good for a free meal. My daughter also volunteers at an animal shelter.

I just heard about a vet that works in (upstate) New York, but I'd contact him if I were you, cuz I bet he's good and he's well known....

Peter Ostrum.... does the name ring a bell? Or make you hungry for chocolate? lol
I just thought, maybe he could help watch out for the animals' best interests or something like that, and it was pretty interesting that he's a vet now, gave up acting
