Hi, wasn't sure where to post! Just feeling a little nervous right now with everything going on. After reading grannie's post (although it was thought of before)and hearing on the news a little while later that they don't think the attacks are over that they believe there are more terrorists out there, I fear not for myself but for my children. They aren't sure how many are out there, or where all they could be. They are finding them abroad now... Is it safe to send them to school?? are they waiting for us to drop our guard a little? My brother is in the marines, will he be sent abroad?
Sorry, I don't mean to scare anyone or diminish what is happening but it just seems to be getting a little worse each day,its seems our confidence over this is fading. Look at all the threats today and the fear. our safe and secure environment is not so safe anymore. I think it's still shock, it seems like forever since life was normal, where the excitement of the day was sending the kids off to school and going for groceries.Yet it's only been 2 days since this started, its a nightmare. I have my faith in god of course but it still doesn't take the fear and the unreality of this away. How could this have happend to us?? Is it just me, am I just getting over the shock of this and its sinking in? or does anyone else feel the same.
I want to send my prayers to all the victims and their families as well as my prayer to all the volunteers helping, working day and night to find survivors and risking their lives without thought to themselves. God Bless us all

Your feelings of being scared are the same across the United States. Although the days ahead are uncertain we need to stay focused and lead our children with strength and unity. For it will be this time that they remember and I hope its the since of standing together as One. America is made up of many nationalities that were affected by this act of selfishness. Because of this many nations are joining together for it is one thing that we share, the love for fellow men and the freedom that this country was founded on.
Take Care and God bless
Deb
PS Where in MI are you? I'm 30 miles south of Grand Rapids.

Hi Beth,

Know how you feel--I am feeling alot of the same things. We live nearby & yesterday my hubby went back to work in NYC & I was watching the news all day & there were bomb threats near where he works. He is bound & determined to carry on as though nothing has changed although everything--everything has changed.

I have to say that before it happened, I felt safe. As it happened, as I sat in my house watching it happen on the one channel that was still working, as I heard our fighter jets scream over head as they toured the area looking for "the enemy", as I saw the Pentagon & the crash site in Pennsylvania, as I couldn't get in touch with my husband, I was scared.

Now, with all the heightened security, I am not scared. Look, now they're saying that the most recent highjacking attempts were mistaken. They are detaining people all over the world with any links to that madman. They'll get these people. They will. They'll get Osama Bin Lauden.
