I have been using phen off and on for about a year. I quit for a while because I was having numbness in my right arm/hand. I really need to lose about 15 more lbs but am concerned about this side effect. This is not listed anywhere as possible side effect, just wondering if anyone else had this experience or had heard of it.

The first day I took phentermine my left hand went numb, and the next day once but it was when I was laying in bed. I think it has to do with circulation/heart rate. My hands, nose and feet have been freezing since I started taking these too.

I'm waitin for my dr to call me back so I can ask about side effects, ill post after he does.

Ok. he said the vessels in your hands can become smaller from the pills effecting the circulation.

You should call your Dr. to be safe though.

How's your heart rate?

I did not take my pill today after being on it for about 3 weeks straight, About 5 hours after I got a headache so bad I could not see straight and I started shaking uncontrollably from cold, my right hand is tingling very bad... didnt know if it could be considered a withdrawal?

I think it is a withdrawl. I was taking it regularly for 3 months and was taking 1 full 37.5 pill a day, towards the end I was taking 1-2 more because my body was so used to it. I had stopped before for a few weeks and had no major issues other than being tired and ravenously hungry all of a sudden, but it passed after a week. When I stopped recently, it was like someone hit me with a sledgehammer - headache, extreme exhaustion, major hunger. Fortunately I was prepared for it, and I did have a few pills left, so I ignored the hunger as best I could and have been tapering off with 1/2 - 1/4 a pill a day. Today is my last day I have had a half only. I think I may have a 1/2 left, which I may split up between tomorrow and SUnday. I think this is the only way to stop, if not to prevent the horrid fatigue, but to prevent eating everything in sight. Anyway, taper off slowly, people say that constantly on this site but man, it is so true...dont want to gain that weight back or be miserable either! Good luck.

Do you work at a desk? I had the same thing, turns out my elbow was resting on the desk and irritating my ulnar nerve. (New sudden onset of numbness right after I started phen had me worried).
Turns out that the circulation was constricted by the phen and that in turn helped irritate the nerve making my hand numb!

I am now on my second round of being on Phen. I've been on it this second time around since April 1. I also experience tingling/numbness/coldness in my hands and feet from time to time. I told my doc about it and he said it was a circulation thing and a side effect from Phen. He said he was not concerned about it. When I start feeling this way, I just get up and move around and it goes away!
