Hey everyone...i'm new here and wanted to know about some of the side effects you have had while taking phentermine. i just started today and am feeling a little jittery. i was a little worried about taking the drug because i have had panic attacks and anxiety before, and didn't want anything that made me feel too up-itty. I used to take Metabolife with ephedra for about 4 years and i stopped when i started having the panic attacks. Now i take Zoloft which has seemed to work well for me. Anyhow, i feel a little jittery, like i'm kinda tired but wired...do you know if any of these side effects will go away??

Hi Newbyboobie (love the name btw),
The side effects you mention seem to be fairly common. I didn't have any of them, but I have heard they subside after a few days to 2 weeks. You may want to take ˝ a pill in the am and ˝ in the evening until you get used to them (assuming you are on 37.5 mg tablets). Good luck and welcome to the group.

I also felt "buzzed" the first day I took it, but I haven't had that feeling since then. I have heard many say they felt the same also. Maybe it takes a day or two for your body to get used to it.

Hey there, I also suffer from anxiety and panic attacks (occasionally) I did talk to my doctor about it before I got on the Phen. I also take a small dose of Ativan for the anxiety when it happens and he said it was fine to take together. You really are jittery and stuff at first but the side effects should get better after a few days...
Hang in there!!

When I started I was jittery and to an extent I still get anxiety and panic attacks so it has not gone away completly. I guess it varies from person to person but it does get better.

i am the same way with panick attacks and anxiety. i also take zoloft. i read that u arent supposed to mix the 2 because of too much seratonin being released. but both doctors i see said it should be fine unless i feel to dizzy or anything like that.
as far as breaking the pill in half id ask your doc first. the tablets r slow release and breaking or crushing them can give u the daily dose too fast |
