hormone effects???
I'm a 38 year old male. I've had a lot of the same side effects I've read about in the forums ( dry mouth, constipation, etc. ), but I've had a few other interesting side effects that I cant find any explanation for. First off, I had a nail biting habit my whole life. I absolutely could not quit. Two weeks into phentermine and I completely stopped like I had never had the habit at all. Second, My creativity went crazy! Where I used to just make silly drawings, I began to do pencil portraits that people begin to really notice. I went from playing chopsticks on the piano to actually understanding how to make pretty good music. Lastly, phentermine somehow effected my hormones. Serious gender issues! My emotions, thoughts, outlook....pretty much everything went totally to the female side. So noticeable my wife said it was like living with a girl. Trying to rationalize all this I wrote in off to coincidence and perhaps my age. However, I went off phentermine after about eight months. Within a month, everything had pretty much returned to normal. I suddenly noticed one day my fingernails were chewed to shreds again....I couldn't draw a decent picture.....piano was sounding terrible...yada yada yada. I've been off phentermine for about five months and I started again about three days ago. I'm anxious to see if things return to where they were. I would have to say my wife and I loved the side effects, actually, everyone around me seemed to like the effects. I was hoping someone had run across this same situation. I know I cant stay on phentermine for too long due to the effects it could have on my heart but I wonder if there is a safe replacement that could equal the effects. Oh, I guess I should mention weight loss! I lost 54 pounds in eight months and have only gained about ten back in the five off months, so considering everything, I love everything phentermine has done. Totally changed my life!
