Just wondering if anyone has suffered any nerve damage or numb type feelings in their limbs? I started phen 3 weeks ago and noticed my right arm feeling kind of numb at times, then I noticed it happening to my legs, but it always goes away. It's not a totally numb feeling, it feels like I'm only feeling say 60% of what I would normally feel in a limb. It's a very odd sensation. It isn't a needles and pins sensation, which seems to me would actually kind of hurt, it's entirely a numbing sensation.

I didn't have any side effects. I think I would call the doctor to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry.

Not to scare, too badly... This is only a guess, but I would call the doc. Numbness on the left is traditionally a heart attack. Numbness on the right tends to be a stroke. Of course it might be something else, but still worth the co-pay over a ride in the back of a limo-staion wagon.

wow i was just on here talkin tonight in chat about my problem i am having and someone sent me this page with your post on it.....i have been on phen for like 2 months...and my docter took me off it now...My Legs and feet are totally numb.....and now my legs are also numb up them.....im so scared and so concerned....my docter told me its the phen and it has caused a ciculation problem and done nerve damage to me...and there may not be a cure i may have to live like this from now on....and end up in a wheel chair one day......im so angry as i was doin well on phen and losing weight and now to think i was so desperate that i hurt myself.....im so upset and so depressed and sad.....please please pm me and let me no if u are still having this trouble...i want to learn more about this....any help would be appreciated......

oh my gosh! did the doctor say how phen caused that? i had a sort spell w/ numbness a month or so ago but it went away. i hope things change for you. my husband is from missouri. we live in tenn. tho. anyways best wishes.

Yess I ws only hoping it would go away but i am stuck with it now for rest of my life and it will only get worse....My docter is 100% sure it is from the phen.....It has caused a cirulation problem that leaded to a nerve problem.......and if u read about phen u will see some of the side effects that could occur is cirulatory problems....How it started is my feet started getting very cold always......and i kept reading on here and alot of people on phen was saying there feet was staying cold also....well then i had a really strange vibrating feelin down my right leg and i was thinking ok maybe i have a PINCHED NERVE....but no it wasnt that.....my feet and toes are complety numb now and the numbness is now my feet and legs all the way to my thigh....I have seen two docters and they both agree its from the phen....im so sad depressed and feelin frustrated as i have done this to my self all because i wantd to be skinny and look good and feel healthy.....now i have in return hurt myself for life and will eventually be in a wheel chair for rest of my life......My feelings are so unexplainable that im feelin i cant even stop crying....im so depressed and stressed out and will soon not even be able to walk.....I am already falllin and stunbling around alot since my feet are so numb and i cannot feel them most of time......im 32 and i feel like my life is basically over now......i dont want to discourage anyone with takin the phen as everyone is different but PLEASE PLEASE if anyone else even starts to feeling this numbness in there feet, arms ,legs anyplace in there body stop the phen right away.....I work in a hospital and have talked to alot of docters and they are all so against this medicine......They have told me this chemical in phen is so bad and can harm the body in so many different ways....But for me all i cared about is losing weight and didnt want to belevie all this.....now i am REGRETTING IT BIG TIME......but please everyone just keep me in your prayers and pray that i will get thro this some way some how.........

wow gurls me to my right side like my arm and hand plus my legs and toes get numb sum time plus i get a tingling feeling aswell. I use to take phen back in 04 and it made me have heart palpations so i stopped but my weight got outta hand so i prayed about it this time that nothing will happen, maybe god giving me a sign to leave it alone what more do i need b4 its too late. we take risky chances to loose weight. we dnt want nothing bad to happen to us but at the same time were study taking chances because of our sizes. good luck, everone and be safe, listen to your bodies.

wow yes u are so right we do take chances cause we are so desperate to lose this weight and for me it seems like phen was my only chance to lose the weight....but now i am so regretting the day that i took that first pill cause now i will suffer for the rest of my life for it.....im goin to a good docter in columbia so will keep u all updated on how it goes and what all i learn from this........please just keep me in your prayers always.....and if anyone else has any of this experience please let me no as it will help me to no if other people are experencing this as well.........

Thank you so much for your prayers and friendship!!!! it means alot to me.....i have been struggling alot this week with my feet and legs....im goin to DOCTER NEXT WEEK.... and willhopefully get some answers......its taken a while to get me into a good neurogolist but i will for sure let u no how it all turns out.....im soooo depressed cause i just seem to be gaining a pound a day it seems like.....and im so scared of being back to where i was before my weight loss.......but i will continue to try to stay on tract no matter how hard it is for me right now.......talk to u sooon have a nice night......

hey am so glad to hear from u, So everthing is ok, sorry it took me so long,my daughter been sick. she had a biopsy friday of her knee, i have stop taking phen for a while kinda got scared of it.

Hey there friend!!!! Yea i was just thinking bout u today and was wondering where u been and if u was ok.....im doing ok nothing has really changed so far....still waiting to get into a docter...been to 4 so far and still same thoughts....but this one i will be going to is supposed to be really good and so im hopin to learn some new things maybe....awwwww I HOPE U didnt stop the phen cause of me...im really sorry if i worried u.....i no we are all different and meds can effect people in different ways...but i am hoping soon i wil get to the bottom of things and find out the reason for all this....I no the docters tell me its the phen but hey im gonna think positive and pray their not right......i hope ur daughter is doing ok.....I will keep u updated as i find out new info ok? have a nice night.....hugzzzz....mary
