I do. How can I help you?

    My Weight Chart:

Yes, I could have reset my counter so that it didn't show last years loss and then gain... but I need to remind myself, every day, how easy it is to put it back on.

During the first week, probably 6 or 7 pounds. Hard to really count the first week because there is usually water weight involved. Really easy to take off... Really easy to put back on as well.

For diabetics, the choice of what kind of diet you do is very important. I imagine you went through some kind of training when you were initially diagnosed with diabetes. In my "boot camp" they stopped short of saying that you should stop eating high carb foods, but they definitely encouraged extreme caution with them.

In my current diet plan, I've virtually cut out carbs. I'm limited to 30g per day. That's roughly what Dr. Atkins advised, except he only really said to do it for about 2 weeks before raising that amount. I've been on that for about a month and a half.

I highly recommend that you check into that.

Remember though, for a diabetic, the scale is important. But it isn't nearly as important as your blood sugar monitor. What is your fasting blood sugar at vs. where it needs to be? If you are eating the right things, in the right portions, and/or exercising how you need to, your blood sugar will reflect it. It may not immediately show your change, but it will begin to within a few days.

So, don't get discouraged about what the scale shows. If you are doing the right things and your blood sugar is showing that, the scale will eventually catch up to you.
