I'm a "newbie". Today is my 10th day of taking phentermine. I have never taken a diet drug before. I've gotten past the dry mouth, yucky taste and constipation. It has been working extremely well. But today, I am having really bad chest pain. How serious is this? Has anyone had to stop taking it because of chest pain? What is really going on? What is phentermine doing to the heart? I plan to not take it tomorrow to see if the pain goes away.

I had chest pains in the beginning.. the doc said it was anxiety..I was a little paranoid about taking diet pills. Anxiety/Panic attacks can give you the same symptoms of a heart attack even. I would check your pulse rate and blood pressure at a grocery store machine or doctors office. If it is normal then it could be anxiety..
