Question Cant Sleep???
I started Phentermine yesterday at a dose of 37.5 mg once a day. I could not sleep at all last night. I might of caught 1 hour if that. Today I still have unbelievable amounts of energy! I took my second pill at 6:30 this morning..and it is 12 hours later and still cant even think of sleep. Anyone else experience this? and what helped if yu did. Thanks

I started taking Phentermine last Sunday. Sunday night I fell asleep at 10 pm and woke up at 1 am and was up until 4 am.. then finally was able to fall back asleep till 645 am when my alarm went off. The next night was not as bad, but I still kept tossing and turning.. As the week went on I am able to sleep better and today I was even able to take a nap in the afternoon. Once I wake up in the morning, I'm up for good. The only problem I have are major headaches that I have from when I wake up until I go to sleep. But within a few days that side effect should disappear for you! Goodluck!

I just started taking Phentermine on Tuesday and I was having the same problem. I would go to sleep fine and then wake in the middle of the night with so much energy for a couple hours. Then fall back asleep an hour or two before my alarm clock was going off. It gets a little better each night, so just keep sticking it out for a week for 2 for your body to get adjusted to the medicine and it should subside. This is what I was told as well and it is getting better each day. Hang in there. Good Luck!!!!

Try using Simply Sleep by Tylenol. It will help. The insomnia won't last too long, maybe a couple of weeks.

I've never heard of simply sleep, but I know I had the same side effect for a good 2 weeks or so. I ended up taking a unisom almost every night to help me go to sleep. I know a lot of people take tylenol pm too. I think I might try simply sleep when I start taking phen again.

Are you exercising? Try exercising in the morning if you can- after you take phen and then try exercising at night before you go to bed.

The first 2 weeks that I took phen it caused insomnia for me 3-4 nights out of the week. It's hard to deal with during school and work. I found taking it early as possible in the morning worked best for me, even if that meant taking it before bed so I woke up with energy and could sleep the next night.
