Sorry, but you'll just have to be patient and start after nursing. If your having a hard time b/c the baby is attached to you it helps if you have someone else feed the baby a bottle so the baby can't smell you and only want the breast. that's what i had to do with my 3rd child. my husband fed her the bottle cuz she just would not take it from me at all. trust me i know how hard it is for some babies to wean. my 3rd would not take a bottle until she was 6 mos.

No, don't breastfeed your baby on phen! Please . Why not get a breastpump and give her the breastmilk in a bottle to start to wean her--I know the desire to lose weight quickly after a new baby--and patience is the key. Remember the baby will benefit for LIFE from your breastmilk. Good luck!

My daughter just turned 15 months, I have been trying to wean her since she was 12 months, it is so hard I don't know what to do. Every time I tried to wean her, she knows, so she will stop eating food or drinking from her sippy cup. The girl is to smart. I finally found away to get her to take her nap without nursing. So now I only nurse her in the morning when she wakes up and at night when she goes to sleep. The next step I am going to take is to stop nursing her in the morning when she wakes up.
