Question Slurring words / Speaking too fast
Hi,

Its my first week on phen's and i noticed something really strange over the last 48 hours... i seem to be slurring my words and at other times i am speaking too fast.

I was interviewing someone for a job and i noticed that i had to slow myself down and concentrate on my words because i was mispronouncing half the things and slurring the others.

Anyone else have the same experience??? ...

Yes, I have been there. I don't remember when it stopped, but eventually it did. I recall being really clumsy the first week too.

I have been on phentermine for 2 weeks as of yesterday and have that happen to me all the time. It feels like my tongue is sooo heavy and dry. I also interview for work and it gets very fustrating, I feel like they are looking at me strange as well...But then there are times when I speak so fast that i can't even remember if I went over everything.

Yes - similiar things happened here. I speak fast anyway. So it was more of a slowing down and forgetting what was suppose to come out next kind of thing ... that has passed and I hope it will for you as well!

Good luck, keep us posted.

Thank you so much for posting the question and thank you all for your input.
Yesterday was my first day on a full pill and it felt pretty intense. Yeah, I felt like I was talking 100mph (and I'm normally very quiet and reserved)...and then there were moments when my mouth felt dry and like my tongue was swollen. LOL
good to know that it'll eventually go away. Good thing I'm a graphic designer and just sit at my desk all day.

I took a half pill this morning before going to the gym and it doesn't feel as intense. In fact, I can't tell if it's working today.

Thanks again! Cheers!

thank you for the input. i was really starting to get concerned - ndmrlv, I am sure you would relate to me when it comes to interviewing and business meetings and not being able to converse eloquently. But i am so glad to know that it will probably pass soon.

I also noticed that whenever i have something sugary or something with even a hint of caffeine then it gets worse. Maybe it means i should avoid anything which gives a further 'rush' whilst on the phens.

Thank you everyone for the words of encouragement

I speak fast like Raquel and for me it was the forgetting what I was going to say next. It did pass after awhile. I have been on phentermine 37.5 for a little over one month now.

It will get better for you.

Me too! I have to remind myself to slow down. I talk anyway fast but this made it worse. It comes and goes.
