Sexual side effects?

Anyway, does anyone else lose libido (desire) after being on phen awhile? (I'm female, 50 yrs, very happily married)
Also anyone else find phen may increase menopause symptoms?

Im not sure if it is the phen. or just that I now have more confidence. But my sex drive has increased.

Hehe, no kidding. I wouldn't know if mine decreased, because I don't think you can't decrease any further than "none".

Mine disappeared after my second baby.

Menopause, sexual disfunction, weight gain, mood swings, headaches, hot flashes, sweats and insomnia are truly miserable. But I doubt if it has anything to do with phen. I thought I was going crazy before I was told I was in perimenopause. Phen is supposed to help me lose the initial obesity which came along with the menopausal stuff, one of which was all loss of desire for sex. I hope if I can lose weight, perhaps it will return. Hormone replacement is supposed to help, but it also causes weight gain. I don't think the phen is the problem.

I'M 25 TOO HAVE BEEN USING PHEN FOR 3 WEEKS, AND I USED TO WANT TO HAVE SEX MORE THAN MY HUSBAND. THE PAST TWO WEEKS I DON'T WANT TO BE TOUCHED AT ALL. my sex drive has definitely increased, but I'm down 17 lbs since I started my diet in January (didn't start phen until feb), so I'm feeling sexier in my shrinking body!

I am 29 and lost my libido after my 2nd baby when I was 22. But I put on a lot of weight and felt so ugly and depressed. We managed to make a 3rd and fourth baby (3rd is 3 now and fourth is 15 weeks) and I am hoping that it is the weight that made me lose my drive. I hope it comes back because my hubby and my relationship is really being affected and I feel like something is wrong with me. He wants it all the time and I dont even want to be touched or looked at!!

Good Luck on your weight loss. Honey, you haven't lost your libido at age 29, you're just tired!!! You have 4 babies, yet just having a baby 15 weeks ago. Was the baby born around 11/28 when you were 190 lbs? You have a 3 mos. old baby, a toddler that is 3, and you didn't say the age of the other 2 but I bet they are school age and you have to help with homework, take care of the little ones, housework, cooking, cleaning. Girl, give yourself a break, you have lost 8 lbs!!! Your relationship is being affected, not by your weight, you can use some help. Sweetie, you are only one person. You can not do it all. You are young. Just wait until you are 40, you're libido will go through the roof!! Honor yourself for being a woman and a mother. Stop beating yourself up. Life is too short.

Thanks Selene. Actually my hubby helps a lot. He makes dinner almost every night and when I have had a real tough day with the baby he takes over with all the baby stuff as soon as he gets home and showers. But yes I do have a lot on my plate I also am a PTO mom (My older children are 8 and 7, almost 9 and 8) and I chair the market day program too. So I kinda understand all the work but my neighbor is 5 yrs older has the same responsibilities and her husband jokes all the time that she is a nympho and he gets tired of it. So what the heck!!! I miss sex a lot, but when he reaches out I just feel like scrunching away and sleeping. Although, today (my first day on Phen) when he leaned in to kiss my neck (its how he says hello to me when he comes home) I actually got a little tingle. But it unfortunatley didn't last long and then the kids got home from school and our life went on....

I'm really glad to hear that your husband helps you alot. Being a fulltime MOM is hard work. I still believe that your libido problem is because you are tired. Maybe being overweight is a problem too but as you said it didn't stop babies #3 & 4. Trust God, everything will work out for you. Sounds like your husband loves you very much. I am praying for you and I hope you get to your goal weight by 8/20/05.

I lost my libido when 1) I gained 60 pounds after getting married four years ago and 2) I got on the Depo just before we got married.

My husband is very supportive! I told him our marriage will be a lot better once I lose the weight, I will have the energy I used to have and I will most likely get my libido back!!!

Im 23 with two kids...10 1/2 months apart and after my second I had gained alot of weight and felt fat ugly and was very depressed. I never wanted to be touched...I actually tried to avoid the possibility of sex...trying to act like im sleeping when he comes to bed..but since I have been on phen I have lost a total of 58lbs and from that one lb gone I have felt so much more sexy... i feel like I can breath during our intimate time and my body doesnt hurt...you know ...I feel more flexible..lol So yea..my sex drive has definitly increased

I'm 32 with 2 little princesses During my 2nd pregnancy I gained a lot of weight and went from a size 14 to a 20. I didn't feel sexy and didn't want my husband to even look at me. But since I've lost some weight and am now in a size 10 I'm a Sexy Beast Baby Yeah ... LOL I feel wonderful and love the attention from the hubby. WOW! This is a interesting topic that i can certainly relate to. I have been taking Phen 37.5 for about 3 months now.. and OMG! ALL I WANT IS SEX! My sex drive has most definately INCREASED. And its really interesting to read how Phen affects everyone in a different way. As far as "Aunt Flo" is concerned..the only problem I have had with that is that my cramping is a little more intense than they normally would be and I seemed to retain water more than normal..but other than that its not bad.. I am 25 and the first couple days taking it I thought I was going crazy! Luckily my friend had taken it and suggested it to me. She said she felt the same way. I mean if the wind blew the wrong way you know??? I am single so it's not a good thing. It's been three weeks now, and the desire isn't so strong, but it's still up there. I'm 35 and trying to loss about 60lbs, so far I've lost 16.5...I also take Zoloft and had read that one of the side effects is loss of sexual desire. Well that was definetly the case with me. I have 2 boys 6 and 10 and work full time. So being overweight and tired had alot to do with the decrease too!! But.....since I started Phen on the 1-30-06 I have become a sex crazed nut!!! My husband thinks it great. I am no way close to skinny yet, but I feel so much better about my body now. And between the Zoloft and maybe the sex...my attitude has improved alot. 15mg... about the same... 30mg --increased, but somehow a little different. drop in wieght helps .. but I think that the mental attitude is far more important (if only the wifey felt the same)
