Question Questions
Hello, I have been on phen for about 2 months. I have been feeling various different things and need to know if I should stop taking the medication. When I take the mediciation at 10:00 a.m. I start to feel full of energy and have no complaints. I drink water all day long to avoid the dry mouth. Once I get home around 6 p.m. I feel drained and can hardly keep my eyes open. This past weekend I felt so horrible. I felt light headed, nauseated, weak and just wanted to be in bed. I am wondering if I need to stop taking phen. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!

I think it may be time for you to take a break. I would pick out about three days when you can afford to have a real lack of energy. Maybe take half your dose 1-2 days before you quit. After about three days completely off it you should start to feel "normal" again. Of course everyone is different. Take a break for 1-2 weeks and try again if you wish.

This is a great forum with lots of support. it helps me stay motivated. I hope it helps you too.

I can relate. I had the same symptoms. What I found out is I was not eating right. I had to eat at least one small meal and a appropriate meal during the day. You may not be hungry but your body needs nutrition that it is not getting. Drinking all the water causes hyperhydration or water poisoning that results with the normal balance of electrolytes in the body is pushed outside of safe limits by a very rapid intake of water.
Most water intoxication is caused by hyponatremia, an overdilution of sodium in the blood plasma. The cells swell as a result of changes in osmotic pressure and may cease to function. When this occurs in the cells of the central nervous system and brain, water intoxication is the result. Additionally, many other cells in the body may undergo cytolysis, wherein cell membranes that are unable to stand abnormal osmotic pressures rupture, killing the cells. Initial symptoms typically include light-headedness, sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting, headache and/or malaise. As with alcohol poisoning, the progression from mild to severe symptoms may occur rapidly as the water continues to enter the body from the intestines or intravenously.

I suggest try drinking some sports drinks because they provide the necessary electrolytes to support extended exercise. They help keep the body balanced and carrying the right amount of fluids. However, not all drinks advertised as sports drinks are suitable for this purpose, and professional advice should be sought for potentially risky situations such as those described above.

Try some of the NEW Vitamin Water I think Revive or Charge would be a good one to try it helps with an electrolyte imbalance. Its the dark purple or yellow bottle.

--vitaminwater revive is specially formulated with potassium (the primary
electrolyte of intracellular fluid) and select water soluble vitamins to help the
body recover after an active day or night. The potassium contributes to balanced
electrolyte intake and optimal intracellular fluid balance, while the vitamins are required for generation and utilization or energy from food.

--vitaminwater charge is specially formulated with electrolytes and water soluble
vitamins necessary to support the physiological functioning of exercising muscle
without contributing to excessive sodium intake. The electrolytes are necessary
for contraction and relaxation of muscle cells while the vitamins are required for
energy generation and utilization.
