Hi everyone I have been on and off the phen for 10 years. I stopped in between pregnancy's. I just started again a couple days ago and I found this site. I feel depressed sometimes than all of a sudden I feel energetic. I no all about this medication since I work in a hospital I have talked with the docs and nurse's and have read the physician's desk refrence book and I have exspierenced some of the side effects listed in that book like chest pain abdominal pain rapid heartbeat, not to mention I can't sleep at nite and have headaches most of the time. I have lost just a pound in 3 days. In the past I took it upon myself to up the dosege to speed up the weight lose and thats when those dangerous side effects occur. I got real scared and went off it cold turkey became depressed and it kinda felt like I had the flu for like 2 weeks than I got my own natural energy back but I ate like a pig! I gained alot of weight and I hate being over weight just as much as the side effect from the phen. I have went for a cardiac workup to make sure I didn't do any damage and I am ok, so this time around I am tring to stick with 1 30mg capsule a day rather than 5 or 6. I get frustrated when I don't see the weight coming off and now I kinda feel like I may need more cause I don't have that energetic feeling and I feel very melow which could be I need sleep , but I hate feeling that gloomy feeling since I have 3 kids to keep up with, I can't afford to feel like this but I can't stand myself being over weight either.Any advice .......................

hello cherg74 i'm glad that you are not taking 5 or 6 pills anymore remember you didn't gain weight over night so you lose it over night. THANK GOD YOUR STILL HERE THAT WAS TOOOOOOO MANY PILLS. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT NOT BEING ABLE TO AFFORD THE PILLS. I FEEL THE SAME WAY AND I BROUGHT THEM ANYWAY.I HAVE 2 CHILDREN AND 1 GREAT HUSBAND.GOOD LUCK YOU CAN DO IT.

Thanks cantlose, what a name that should be mine! Well I went today for my gyn checkup and he pulled me in his office and said cheryl you have a bit of a weight gain since last year and like I needed to hear that, but I came home and took 2 more 30mg pills and I have been zipping around the house doing yard work and sweating up a storm, I no I shouldn't do this but for me this is the only way the phen works, so thats 3 today. I weighed myself this am and I was the same 178.5 although at the doctors today I was 180 so who no's. I figure when I get the weight off I will ween myself down to 1 a day but I can't stand myself at 180 just thinking it drives me nuts! I probaly sound crazy to you , hopefully not but as I tell my husband you will never no what it feels like to what the weight off so bad you will do just about anything.
Enough about me what about you?

DO YOUR DOCTOR KNOW THAT YOUR TAKING 3PILL IN ONE DAY ANOTHER THING REMEMBER THE DOCTOR SCALES ARE F KED UP. THAT'S MY BELIEF.ANYWAY I WISH I WEIGHED 180.I KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO BE FAT BUT DON'T KILL YOURSELF IN THE PROCESS GETTING THIN. I MUST I HAVE TAKEN 2 ONE DAY AND 1 THE NEXT BUT THE DOCTOR TOLD ME TO DO THAT,BUT WHEN I DO THAT I DON'T EAT AT ALL I HAVE TO FORCE MY SELF. Hi cantlose how are ya? Well we can talk on the phone if you want your in PA? I took altogether today 4 30 mg pills see I think cause I have been on this stuff for so long 1 just don't cut it, 1 did work the very first time I started this stuff about 10 years ago but not any more. I got on my scale again and I am now 177.5 so the pills and me outside wakling and doing yard work is working. I do no its not good for me believe me if there was any other way that really worked I would be on it, I love my husband and kis so much but when I am overweight like this I don't love myself one bit, so what are the options? I use to go a diet doctor here in nj, for a long time about 8 years but he was a total quack! He was a md but isn't aloud to practice in any hospitals any more due to people overdosing and being hospitalized on his meds so he supplies the pills at his office. I decided to just get the phen online now. My regular md disagree's with all this and any real good doctor will to, I no I work in a hospital and have read about this drug and I have talked with the nurse's and docs and they all tell me the same stuff diet and exercise get off that stuff its no good, but you really can't understand the feeling until you have the problem. I would love to help each other out! That's great cause none of my girlfriends agree with phen or any drug in that matter so they can't relate to my feelings at all. How old are you again? I am 28, 3 kiddies and a husband that loves me the way I am, how nice I no but would he be attracted to me if he just met me I highly doubt it, I gave him 3 kids and we have beenmarried for 7 yrs in october.
