Thread: Another side effect

Hi, I've just joined and it's been interesting to read everyone's experiences.

I'm on day #3. Aside from the insomnia (I've gotten maybe 4 hours of sleep the last 3 nights) the worst side effect I'm having that just started today is a horrible metallic taste. All the mints in the world will not get rid of it. I'm drinking a lot of water but my mouth feels like cotton.

Has anyone else had this awful taste? Does it go away? (Please say it goes away!!!!)

    Thanks!

Hello Kat, I don't ever recall the metallic taste, but have had some minor sore throats (very minor more like very dry throat). As long as I drink water I am fine though. Hey and welcome to Phenland.

    Hi Brneyes,

I'm happy to report that that awful taste went away - it lasted for two days. I'm beginning to sleep better and the dry-mouth problem has even gotten better. I guess that first week is the roughest, I'm sure glad I'm past it!

Thanks so much for your response!

Hey cool to see it is working good and all the side effects are gone. I read the notes about phentermine and they said it could give you a bad taste in your mouth, fortunatley I never got that. The first week is definatley the roughtest though. Good luck on your weightloss.

    Hi Katlover

Thank God! I thought I was going crazy. The first time the 'metallic' taste occurred, I thought it was blood from a tooth.

As my fellow 'sister' said, the incident lasted two days than disappeared. Go Figure.
