I've been on phentermine for about 2 months and have lost 10 pounds. However, I have a terrible itching on my neck and chest mostly. NO rash or bumbs, JUST ITCHING! Sometimes my scalp itches too. I take benadryl at night to help otherwise I'm up several times putting "itch cream" on. Any of you have this problem? Can't tell if it's allergic reaction from the phentermine or something else.

Hi nana,

I have had some problems with itching, but it's on my face. I find that when I go into the sun for prolonged periods and get really sweaty, my face gets red blotches that itch painfully.

I know that the birth control pill can cause sun sensitivity and also itching when you use tanning beds. Are you on the pill and trying to tan? Just curious.

What dose are you taking? You may be taking too much.....if not, then it does sound like an allergic reaction. Allergies don't always develop right away. You could try stopping the phen; see if that helps. However, starting on Phen again might start up to itching too. Consider seeing a dermatologist too.

Nana, I was relieved to hear somebody else was itching. I experience itching in my scalp. It has been quite hot here where I live and I thought it was just sweat, but I do itch considerably: head and neck. I take a mild form of phen - phentermine. All the others were too strong for me. I have lost 25 lbs since May 25 and I don't want to stop so I'll put up with the scratching!
