Today is my first day.... It is encouraging to read all your successes. I am 5'4' and weigh 218 - the most ever... I've lost on fasts,etc. but then I gain it back and then some. My greatest mistake was the very first diet I ever went on and that was in high school... 40 years ago... My life has been one of feast and famine... As old age starts nearing, there is a lot more at stake. Even things like simple flexibility... Ah well, hope to stay in touch and add to the list of successes. Would appreciate all the suggestions you can give.... I do know that drinking water makes a big difference. The more water (not other fluids), you drink, the more you lose. I am going to try to drink 10-12 8 oz glasses a day, though I hate doing it.....Maybe dry mouth will be a helpful side effect if it forces me to drink water.
